Scoresheet Baseball (1 Viewer)

Not sure if anyone here has heard of, or used Scoresheet to play fantasy baseball. I have been playing Scoresheet for about 8 years now - I am up to 5 leagues. It is not a roto league - it is a computer simulation. You draft compete rosters - 35+ players, position players, back-ups, starting pitching, bullpen, and closers. You set your line-up, rotation, and bullpen. You play full 162 game schedules, with play-off series to determine champions. Results are sent in the form of box-scores from games played the previous week. (you set your roster before games are played each week, then teh simulator uses the real life stats that week to play out your games). The leagues I am in are all keeper leagues - 13 regular players, varying amount of minor league players (rosters vary at the end of the season from 45-50 players). In these leagues, minor league players are typically drafted when they are in A or AA ball. Scoresheet also runs their own keeper leagues, as well as typical one-year leagues. Leagues can be AL-only (typically 10 teams), NL-only (12 teams) or combined (20 teams).

It is a bit more in depth than a roto league, but it is a lot of fun. Scoresheet has a relatively small, but loyal following. Most owners are in multiple leagues. The customer service is among the best in the business, which is why I think it has such a loyal following.

If you are looking for a new fantasy baseball league I recommend the you check out Scoresheet.

I have no ties to scoresheet, other than as a customer - and I have not tried their other offerings - football, hockey, and basketball.

I used to play years ago before the innernets came....great company and game.

Im in too many leagues now to do it again tho :/

Figure this is worth a shot...

There's an opening in NL Maltese Falcon (12-team, 13 keeper with unlimited rookies) looking for an owner. Pretty good team featuring the likes of Roy Oswalt, Matt Cain, Tim Hudson, Jim Thome, Chipper Jones, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Felix Pie, Pat Burrell, Freddy Sanchez and J.J. Hardy among others.

A few twists:

* No supplemental drafts. Each team is allowed up to nine free agent picks on a first-come, first-serve basis but there is a roster cap.

* Three AL crossovers

* The available team (#5) picks 6th in each round

It's a good bunch of guys looking for an active owner so send a me a PM if interested.

Bump for anyone looking to join a league in 2009.
Are you starting one? I am still not sure I get it. How much is it?
I have a league looking for an owner, but we have some "odd" rules - so it might not be the best for a noob. (But it is a good league http://www.scoresheet.com/FOR_WWW/AL_Gehrig.htm Team 9 is available - PM me if you have any interest)Scoresheet has a a bunch of standard keeper leagues looking for owners, and I think they also have a bunch of 1-year leagues (i.e. non-keeper). That is how I started in 2000 - with a 1-year league. Now, all of my teams are of the keeper variety.

Here is a link to available teams:

It also looks like scoresheet is running a special for first time owners - 50% 0ff - $39 per team

There are no cash prizes, but league winners do get a trophy at the end of the season.
