Was looking at this guy, and this year he is a consistent IDP scorer, & has moved into the top 30 for LBs scoring in my league.

I knew that he was a good prospect at LB when he was with Dallas, and being in a dynasty league, my interest is growing. I never see much said about this guy other than he plays WLB, yet he keeps on scoring.

Is he this good, or is he a product of the system? Any current news about him or homer information would be greatly appreciated!

Well, the real hard-core IDP guys can probably give you a more detailed analysis. My take as a homer is that he's mainly a product of the system/personnel around him. And I'll explain that with a question - how many teams have a starting middle LB that gets as few tackles and makes as few plays as Mark Simoneau ?

Regarding Simoneau - the Eagles used to have one that bad. that's why he's now a Saint.

I think Shanle is helped by dearth of talent, but he's been running with the ooportunity, and I think he's got a fairly solid hold on that job. As sidewinder said, Simoneau is dreck - so he'll get replaced. While you may see a better LB steal some tackles from Shanle, he's solid the rest of the year, and I think he's at worst a solid depth option for next year for your IDP corps.
