I'm referring to the 14 state senators who chose to leave Wisconsin rather than allow a vote to take place. Of all the people I have mentioned, they did the ONE UNFORGIVEABLE act- they have threatened our system of democracy. If we allow them to get away with this, where does it stop? Can any legislator break the law and opt out on either side because they disagree with an issue?

I have written so much about this particular subject in this thread that I won't repeat it here. But it is truly shameful what these guys have done, and even more shameful that some on the left have chosen to honor this move.

Yet you wanted Walker to negotiate with them and give them the victory they wanted.

Wisconsin isn't a trailblazer on eliminating Collective Bargaining. 26 other states (and the Federal Government) either have very limited collective bargaining or none at all for their public employees. Once these local governments in Wisconsin get used to being able to dictate how their budgets are being spent without union interference, they'll be very reluctant to let this new power go.

In special session no notice is necessary, except for officially posting it on the bulletin board (which the clerk is confirming happened).There's a better chance of Obama saying he was born in Africa than this bill ultimately being declared illegal. I say ultimately because there's always the chance some ringer judge will rule the other way, but the law was clearly followed here.
