I have always been a fan of S.Wright. I think that he gets it.

I like is top 5 picks and actually think that's how its going to go down.

We recorded a show with Scott last night and we're going to try to get him on again at least once before and once after the draft.

Wow, he totally changed his whole first round pretty much. Carriker at 6 now? Has he really moved up that much? Also does anyone else think Olsen will last til 25? I like him going at 14

If the Saints get Houston in the first and Rice in the 2nd I might pee myself

its all speculation of course, but these seem like nice fits on paper.

Last night he told us that something like all but 5 or 6 of his first round picks changed in this mock.

Yea it looks like a completely different mock

I'm not sure DAL would spend a 3rd rd pick on a kicker. Not sure too many teams would either. But it's a good mock for certain. :)

This mock has a tasty kind of reality to it because we are getting closer, but Adams(2), Okoye(4), and Brown(10), seems like a bit of a reach for each. That's about as low as I have seen Jamaal Anderson. I won't be surprised if DEs slide in general, so that's an interesting projection. Denver should be very pleased if he fell in their laps. I'm pretty sure Houston will be gone in the first half of round one. His film and his measureables along with his work ethic and character are all so strong and with so many teams needing a quality corner. I just don't see him lasting 27 picks.

Trent Edwards continues to creep up... For his sake, I hope he doesn't get picked by the Raiders- he's been beaten and battered enough.

O know this guy has a good rep and all, but this is one of the worst mocks I've seen all year IMO. That Jets draft would put me on suicide watch... and someone said that would be a good draft for the Jets? This is like a nightmare mock for the Jets. There isn't a full time starter in the lot, including Olsen. pukey puke! I need a nap.

Your commentaries are one of my favorite reasonss for reading mock drafts around here. This mock is not that bad, but yeah, your Jets did a terrible job (depending on how you grade guys). As a long time Cowboy fan, I see a ton of Everson Walls in Daymeion Hughes, Soliai is a player I would like to see in Dallas (but hopefully not with a first day selection), Woodley has been destined for your Jets since the first mocks in December. It must be that team captain thing. :D

Green Bay Packers

Aundrae Allison Wr | East Carolina

Zach Miller Te | Arizona St.

Marshawn Lynch Rb | California

Nothing too exciting, but most Packer fans would probably be OK with this. It would definitely help fill some offensive holes.

The CJ/Edwards combo is a trendy one for the Raiders, I'm not feeling it, but there's worse things than getting the best prospect in the draft, I suppose.

Marcus Thomas at the top of the 3rd: Too early to grab a pothead. I think 5th round, if drafted at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he is off healf the teams draft boards. I prefer Moses there, and I think the Raiders would too.

Character is gonna be a big story in this draft.

The WRs draft order surprises me.

35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Dwayne Jarrett Wr | Usc..40. Miami Dolphins- Anthony Gonzalez Wr | Ohio St.41. Minnesota Vikings- Steve Smith Wr | Usc42. San Francisco 49'ers- Craig Davis Wr | L.S.U......58. New Orleans Saints- Sidney Rice Wr | South Carolina
What did Sidney Rice do to cause his draft stock to plummet?

Interesting, does he think Turner to TEN is a done deal? He has Buffalo taking Irons in rnd 2 (yuck) and GB taking Lynch in rnd 1.

And I don't think Blalock falls to rnd 2. End of rnd 1 I think is where he goes. Not that it's that far off.

"slow" at the combine then didn't run at his pro day. Not the best route runner so the scouts think between not being blazing fast and lack of precise routes he'll not be able to separate at the pro level.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Michael Coe Cb | Alabama St.

Lawrence Timmons Olb | Florida St.

Ryan Kalil C | Usc

Timmons would be a good pick. Getting Kalil in the second would be "nice value". But he'd be the fourth center on the team. Sure they could release one or two, but I don't see it happening. I don't like the Coe pick either.

I love the Atlanta and Tampa Bay drafts. I also like the Broncos, Packers and Saints. Eagles look good and I am just OK with the Pats draft. It doesnt appear that he is using trades. I would be dissapointed if the Pats didnt trade back to the 2nd and get an extra pick if they re determined to get Brian Leonard.

Even though I'm a little skeptical of Harrell, that would be a fine draft IMO for the Colts. IF they get a WR with one of their 4th round picks.

No thank you. If Levi is there at 9 and we do not take him, we better be targeting O Line with our 2 #2s. We have no LT at the moment. Quinn falling is an interesting thought, and I guess some in Miami would be okay with that. Not me.

I love it. Can't get a single thread to run this year with no reference to Micheal Turner.

Only because it's applicable when looking at a mock and three teams have expressed interest, and the mock leaves one of the three not taking a RB.

 wow, you change your opinion about things faster than a weatherman changes a forecast here in the Northeast..

back in early March, you said you were 'fascinated' with the Quinn situation and how you thought his stock was rising while professional NFL draft pundits thought Quinn's stock was actually falling..

you were fascinated,as you put it, because you thought he could go to the Lions at #2..what happened, you now have him dropping all the way to #9, Miami's pick...interesting...

secondly, three/four week ago, you thought Levi Brown was going to drop ALL the WAY to #20, and fall right into the Giants lap. amazing how you changed your mind, and suddenly have Brown going to Houston at #10...interesting. thats quite a leap in three weeks, no?

thirdly, in a post some three weeks ago, you had the Giants taking Levi Brown. Now you've got Brown at #10, Quinn at #9, and the Giants still drafting an O-lineman at #20! you obviously know nothing about the Giants current state of affairs. The ONLY LB they have with any tangible experience, is Pierce. The rest of the LB corps is a 'who's who', of "who's NOT',in other words no talent BUMS...they *might* need an O-lineman, but letting a guy like Posluszny go by, is definitely NOT something I'd see them doing. not a chance..you also have Meriweather and Houston dropping past them. They don't need an offensive lineman in the first round. they cannot afford to let studs like Posluszny drop past them. One look at what a guy like Polamalu and Urlacher, and you realize how important difference-makers on defense can be. Posluszny is a stud LB that you simply cannot overlook..

take a look at the Giants draft history over the past 9-10 years, and you'll see what I mean...they've selected one(1) O-lineman with a first round pick since 1998, Petitgout ( he was selected in 1999)..

from 1998 -> 2006, the G-men have drafted a GRAND TOTAL of 9 o-linemen, of which only one was a first rounder, Petitgout. Diehl was a 5th rounder in 2003, and he was a bargain at that spot.

just to prove how far off the mark you are , since the 1982 draft, the Giants have taken a Grand Total of 3 O-linemen in the first round. Jerry Reese is a guy promoted from within,so to think he's going to change things around and start picking offensive lineman ,at a time like this when his defense is as weak as its ever been, is laughable.

this is a draft loaded with defensive talent, namely players in the secondary and linebackers.

Bloom to your defense in 3....2.....1....

Nygiants56. Are you really that dense?

That's not Andy's mock. It's Scott Wright's, from the website known as NFLDraftcountdown.com. It's pretty popular. You should check it out sometime.

Your "Smartest guy in the room" act is pretty cool though. Keep it up. :loco:

:D wow, you change your opinion about things faster than a weatherman changes a forecast here in the Northeast..

back in early March, you said you were 'fascinated' with the Quinn situation and how you thought his stock was rising while professional NFL draft pundits thought Quinn's stock was actually falling..

you were fascinated,as you put it, because you thought he could go to the Lions at #2..what happened, you now have him dropping all the way to #9, Miami's pick...interesting...

secondly, three/four week ago, you thought Levi Brown was going to drop ALL the WAY to #20, and fall right into the Giants lap. amazing how you changed your mind, and suddenly have Brown going to Houston at #10...interesting. thats quite a leap in three weeks, no?

thirdly, in a post some three weeks ago, you had the Giants taking Levi Brown.

Bloom to your defense in 3....2.....1....
foot in mouth in 3...2...1....

I'd love to see the Redskins land Carriker, but the #6 overall seems too high. You'd hope if he's a guy they want to target that they could move down a bit and pick up more value. Of course his stock seems to get higher and higher all the time so there is definite risk in moving down with a specific player targeted, it really comes down to how these DEs rank on the boards of the 4-5 teams that may be looking DE early.

Philadelphia Eagles

David Harris Ilb | Michigan

Brandon Meriweather S | Miami (Fl)

Tony Hunt Rb | Penn St.

There is no way that Ried would take a guy like Meriweather and definitely not in the 1st round if he was replaced with Griffin I think it would be much better and still give the Eagles a very good draft.

Detroit Lions

Drew Stanton Qb | Michigan St.

Justin Durant Olb | Hampton

Gaines Adams De | Clemson
I could deal with this, but I'm hoping they trade down and land Adams where he should go - somewhere around #4-7. I don't see Carriker at #6, but Washington is a nice fit.

Is there a mock out there that doesn't have Grubbs to Chicago?

Ginn in KC? I guess, but I'd prefer them to trade down and take Harrell. Ginn would help stretch the field, like Parker was supposed to. If they manage to trade Dante Hall, I can see this pick easier.

Say what you will about the Giants not taking OL, but if they want to keep Eli in one piece over the next few years, they need help there and Staley is a good pick. They can probably get one later, but Staley is a value there.

The WRs draft order surprises me.

58. New Orleans Saints- Sidney Rice Wr | South Carolina
What did Sidney Rice do to cause his draft stock to plummet?
"slow" at the combine then didn't run at his pro day. Not the best route runner so the scouts think between not being blazing fast and lack of precise routes he'll not be able to separate at the pro level.
I am most surprised with the meteoric rise of Steve Smith. Here is one pre-combine ranking that gave Smith a 6th or 7th round grade. http://nflexperts.scout.com/3/07DraftWR.html He runs in the 4.4s at the combine and now he is in the 2nd round.
