Passing CP/AT YDS TD INT

Rushing ATT YDS TD LG

E. James 16 46 0 10

J. Forsett 6 43 0 22

J. Jones 12 34 0 6

Edge got 10 more touches than Forsett and Forsett still came with 3 yards of matching the output. Julius Jones got twice as many carries and got 9 less yards than JF. What is taking so long for the Seahawks to see this picture?

Seattle fans weigh in please

He's getting less work than both Edge and Julius...I don't know if the coaches are seeing what you're seeing.

Not a 'Hawks fan but I see many of their games and I'd say...

- be careful of the conclusions you draw from a 41-0 game

- Julius Jones had 10 carries in the first half... when the game was in reach... and none in the 4th quarter

- Edge had 11 carries in the fourth quarter... when the game was well out of reach

- The 6 carries Forsett had this game was the most he's had in a game

I don't blame you for asking the question. The FBG staff has seemed pretty hell-bent that much of Jones work will get taken over by either Edge or Forsett but I haven't seen any evidence to point toward this. If anything I thought with all the OL woes Edge might take over some of the third down work in obvious passing situations to keep Hasselbeck healthy and able to use their significant talent at receiver. Forsett may be an ok flex play in a ppr when you think SEA gets blown out but other than that I'd have to see him get close to 10 carries before having any interest in him. One of those tiny RB's look an awful lot different once you give them 16+ carries than they do when they only get 6... not that there's any evidence Forsett has 16+ carries in his future barring injuries.

As a Seahawks fan I don't think any of our RBS are worth much. Maybe in the future Forsett will develop into a steady 3rd down/change of pace guy, but I don't think the coaches even think of him as a legit starter. For now he is spot duty and special teams. For what it's worth I do think he is the best RB on the team but I think they will draft someone or sign a FA if they think they need to upgrade. I highly doubt Jones loses his starting role this season (barring injury). Also, the team seems to either get behind big, or just come out throwing too much for the ground game to even get established a lot of the time. Looked great against the Jags week 5, but it causes us problems all the time. The coaches are just not committed to the run, and we don't have the talent to make it work. Thats my opinion of course. Take it for what it's worth.

Never. Jones will keep his job and if he gets hurt, it will be Edge. Forsett is one of those guys who one is there one day. Then the next day he's hurt and never heard from again.

Life long seahawks fan here.

Jones is definitely the guy, though they will rotate the other two RBs in. Forsett actually came off the bench more than Edge did, until the last series. The last series of the game, Seattle literally ran every single play, taking 11 minutes off the clock. The Jags didn't even really try to stop Edge from gaining the yards necessary to get the first, as they wanted to get the game over with as well.

Forsett is a special runner, who hits the hole hard, and always keeps his legs moving. But at the same time, he isn't as good of a blocker as Jones or Edge, which keeps him on the bench in certain situations. From everything Knapp has said they are going to keep a 60, 30, 10 ratio (Jones, Edge, Forsett) and they have stayed pretty true to that. Seattle really likes what Jones has to offer, and feel if they get him 20 carries a game, he will be successful in the long run.

The big problem is two things: they are still in the process of getting the ZBS working, which is difficult because of all the injuries. They were starting a 4th string LT, 4th string LG, 2nd string RG, and a 2nd string RT through most of the game Sunday. There isn't any way the line is going to gel with all the pieces moving around all the time, and they aren't going to get all their pieces back any time soon.

I think long term, Forsett could be somebody to keep an eye on, because if he gets better at blocking it would be hard to keep him off the field. Short term, it would take an injury to Jones for Forsett really to be a factor.

A majority of FF fans hate Julius, but he's not going anywhere soon. James came in the game during garbage time and, Forsett will be only be in on 3rd downs or to run draws, and screens.

Seattle coaches estimated game 7 before the running game gets into full speed, and the OL has been destoyed since then.

Jones is the man like it or not.

I didn't watch the game, as I am sure you did, but while reviewing the play by play it seems that your position as I have bolded is inaccurate. Could you elaborate? ie.. he ran on first down multiple times....

I am thinking Forsett is sure to get more serious consideration and I am looking to buy him.

stats mean nothing when comparing starting RB to COP. like how many short yardage situations did Forsett get to try to convert? since those situations even when ran effectively will bring down YPC. most COP runners get the draws on 3rd and longs where the defense is willing to give up yardage while protecting the first down marker.

i've seen 2 hawk games thus far.............this situation is far from a Jacobs/Bradshaw scenario where the COP in the RBBC may actually be better than the horse

I wrote Forsett will be, meaning as the season goes on. I think Jones continues to get the majority of carries.Don't get me wrong I love Forsett, I just don't see him getting the most touches.
