Made it back to Seattle. We'll be speaking with coach Mike Holmgren later this afternoon. Yes, I'm aware that the Seahawks' team plane was diverted for a medical emergency. We'll want to get as many of the facts as possible before piecing anything together. This story broke while my plane was en route from Chicago. We'll ask Holmgren about it, of course, and I'll pass along any details as they can be confirmed.

The Seahawks have confirmed that their team plane made an unscheduled stop in South Dakota because defensive assistant Ray Rhodes was feeling sick and team doctors decided he should undergo additional tests. Doctors subsequently determined that Rhodes is OK. Rhodes stayed at a hospital in Rapid City for a few hours while the team continued on to Seattle. Rhodes is on his way back to Seattle right now. The team wanted to be extra cautious on this one because Rhodes has a history of stroke symptoms.Same source.

There's a joke here regarding the emergency removal of the Bears foot from the Seahawk's collective ###es, but until we know why the plane landed, I'll refrain. Hope everyone's OK with the SEA organization.

The story was updated long before this was posted. I have no idea why someone would come here thinking this is news.
