My local channel changed to the Kentucky Derby awhile ago. That's why this thread is important to me and I hope others especially our soldiers who can only get this on line.

Plus my local will be switching to base ball all the time.

Edit:pinda I'm glad you didn't give up.

I will bump this every week from now until Sept. unless someone else bumps it first.

Bump for todays show.

Get on now and listen to football talk for 4 hours while you enjoy whatever you are doing on line.

If your local channel is like mine it will switch to the Preakness later.

I saw Sean Salisbury yesterday at the Cubs Sox Game - at Mac, Jurko and Harry's ESPN AM1000 pre-game tailgate.

He's a very tall barrel chested 'pink' hued man.

He brought some 'babe' with him (according to a lot of people there). I thought she was nothing special. ...but compared to the lack of hotties at the tailgate, she stood out.

I missed the show. Any juicy info?

Sorry jdoggydog I missed a lot of todays show, as usual. However they did spend a lot of time on who should be in the Hall of Fame.

I'll be waiting for next week though.

EDIT anybody hear anything juicy please share.

I'm still waiting to hear from NFL Live and/or The Huddle about tookie RB battles. But alas, they only seem to discuss QBs.

Great sentiment jdoggy. If everyone would e-mail a Vet and say those 8 magic words:

"Thank you for your service to our country."

You won't believe the emotional response.

Bump for todays show.
The biggest problem with this show..the opening segmentRicky Williams

TO

tease for segemnt 2

Steve McNair

Reggie Bush

Eventually they always get around to talking something that is not more gossip than on the field related...eventually.

Early bump for todays show. I have to go shopping  , and local has BB on. Plus horserace later, So I won't hear the show.

:lmao: At John Clayton on Gameday W/Mel kiper earlier, Clayton said Carson Palmer might start 2 preseason games. Gotta listen today.

Also he talked aboyt Tenn RB position and called it their deepest ever. He said he will have (someone) from the Titans to discuss their RB position and who may(?) be shopped.

If your on this site FBG then you are going to want to listen.

Shopping.

EDIT: Clayton does know the NFL, and has lots of connections. However, he doesn' talk FFB per say so you have to actually listen to him to translate it to FFB.

Mel Kiper just said he is half Polish and half German. I did not know that.

No Mel this week ...

:football:
Thanks for the early bump.Sean and John on right now.

Talking about Big Ben now. Said Batch could start for 2 Preseason games. Also said they will read e mails through out the show. That's new. Anybody want to e mail them.

huddle@espnradio.com.

huddle@espnradio.com.

Clayton is watching Ricky Williams tearing up the CFL right now, almost 100 yds already.

Marvin Lewis will be on next. Carson Palmer will be discussed.

This thread drives me nuts. :loco:

Every week, I get primed to listen to that show on Saturdays, and invariably find things that interrupt me from listening to the whole thing, and at times when I do, it gets pre-empted by Major League Baseball (as if I needed anything else to make me hate MLB more :hot: )...

...then I see new posts here, and am hoping like hell someone listened to the whole thing somewhere and is posting a recap of the whole show, and never find much being detailed about the content.

Seeing how this show is pretty much one of the only guaranteed things to take place with regularity in the NFL offseason, here's something I'd like to see:

JoeB, David and Staff: would it be possible to have someone dedicated to listening to this show in it's entirety and recapping it in detail, either in this thread, or on the homepage, or as a pinned thread? Maybe not enough is said on the show that merits mentioning...I don't know; but I'd sure like to...

Thoughts?

That's a great idea a FBG recap. Like the NFL game recap. However, there are lots of dull weeks. Maybe start week 2 in July. I looked at last years thread and week 2 is when it started to pick up.Nittany, you made me look up last years thread and post 5 "This should be pinned."

I don't think it should be pinned, but the recap would be nice. I did pick up a nice nugget for you.

Thank cmap for this:

Archive here -

http://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/show?showId=nflhuddle

I added this to Post #1 with the ESPN link on it. So maybe you can come in each week and log on, then click on the recap and read it.

The thread from 2004 must have got pruned. I know I had one because a soldier said that he got on "overseas." That made me feel real good. I know it's nothing, just a link to ESPN. It was a lot harder years ago. Now it seems to work anytime you click on. I'm on now. But, i had to try twice before I got on. I clicked and got the commerical then nothing, then click off back to post1 and try again. I've had to try 3 or4 times sometimes I just try 10 minutes later. Whatever it takes, it's FB and as you said it's the only thing that we know is on regularly, on time.

I see the same people on here every week. They know it's here and a "chance" that you may get a nugget. Last year there was a different group. This year there are more, and some of last years. You were here last year.

Hope this helps.

Wow! That link works fine. This is last weeks show.

We sure missed a lot.

June 10 show in review

with John Clayton and Sean Salisbury

• Floyd Reese, Titans GM- Took us through the Steve McNair trade and talked about how difficult it was to trade the first starting quarterback in Titans history.

• This Week in Four Downs- Will the addition of Steve McNair help the Ravens make the playoffs? Will the Titans bring in Kerry Collins to compete for a job? Should the Dolphins rush Daunte Culpepper back to the lineup? Are the Patriots the best fit for Ty Law?

• Jason Cole, Miami Herald- From Dolphins camp to talk about how Culpepper looked this weekend and what the team plans to do with Ronnie Brown now that Ricky Williams is gone.

• Kurt Warner, Cardinals QB- Compares the potential of this Arizona offense (Boldin, Fitzgerald, James) to the great Rams offenses he directed back in the late 90's with Holt, Bruce and Faulk. Speaking of Edgerrin James, Warner talks about the excitement in Arizona over James' signing and what it says about the direction of the organization. As for Faulk, who is considering retirement, Warner thinks Faulk will play one more year then retire.

• This Week's In The Huddle Headlines- Is Marshall Faulk on the brink of retirement? The Bills cut OL Bennie Anderson. J.P. Losman is making a run to challenge for the starting QB job in Buffalo. Packers cut former 3rd round pick Donnell Washington, a DT. Packers coach Mike McCarthy agitated at guys like Charles Woodson and Ryan Pickett for missing "voluntary" camps. Patriots acquire DT Johnathan Sullivan and give up Bethel Johnson. Sean Payton shakes things up in New Orleans with trades. Broncos can't find a team to give them what they want for Ashley Lelie. And DT Dan Wilkinson is looking for work and has some interest.

• Plus- In light of the Jason Grimsley story, the guys discuss drug testing in the NFL and Gene Upshaw's stance against blood testing players; Is this the year the Dolphins, with Culpepper, make a move to the top of the AFC East and the Patriots slide down; and the Steelers and Bengals are AFC North rivals with players in hot water.

How bout that?

is it to late to listen to this? i cant seem to find the link for this to play.

Hey Nittanylion thats your Father's Day present.

Guess what I got.

My son gave me a $100.00 paid entry into the OMEGA league. How cool is that?

I love listengin to these guys duke it out, they're pretty entertaingin and funny. The Professor should stand-up. Slaisbury is a little full of himself, but he's a funny guy too. They both have nice perspecitves on the game, its kinda weird Clayton knows football as much as he does

Where you been, stuck in crosstown traffic?

Did you get in the OMEGA league yet?
Ha ha ha. :hophead: Haven't signed up, but will -- not sure which. $50 is enough for me, but the $100 one is better timing.

You had this same concern last year. I know you follow FFB all year, same as a lot of us and I think that drafting early is an advantage to us. Some will draft off lists or books and thats an advantage to you. You know more than them.

so, your not sure of some positions or who is going to win them, or team schemes etc. Guess what, that's your opinion the unprepared ones are going off someone elses opinion.

Advantage MA.

This should be pinned.

I can never remember when these guys are on and I hate listening to baseball or nascar talk. :blackdot:
You know Blood Farmer I have been thinking about a solution to this problem.

First the ESPN recaps are a week late.

2) We all forget to tune in on time at some time and wonder what we missed.

3)If FBG pinned it, it might show a preference to ESPN. Then others would want their posts pinned.

4) how many "off season " pinned posts do you read more than once?

5) if it's close to the top of the page "when it's on" more poeple will be served.

6)bumping it to keep it on top is counter productive and not an option.

7)in august it will be on page 2 or3 in an hour and there will be so many interesting things that you'll forget even w/the :blackdot: .

8)there are too many FFB things going on that if you don't remember or Know when the Huddle is on, you'll miss it.

9)I don't have an answer. I'm keyboard challenged and this off the cuff rant took me an hour. I included that so I could have a # 10 in tv fashion

10) Tell FBGs we feel disenfranchised.

You had this same concern last year.
..and i was right. i was very lucky to finish middle-of-pack last year. the year before, when i did better, we drafted after the 3rd pre-season game instead of the second. just helps me to have a little extra time to see things unfold. i know a lot of people on the board think like you -- that you have more of an advantage drafting early before others "catch up". i guess i'm just one of those "others" :) .

Sorry MA.The $100:00 OMEGA is Aug 27,. That's after Preseason wk 3.

PS. It took me 3 tries to get on ESPN today.

Erik Kuselias is in for Dan Patrick .I just logged on and he said ,when he comes back he will give his top half of the NFL.

Edit: it's 2:59 on Thurs June 22.

Appearantly he gave his bottom half already. I guess after the news he'll give his top half. Just a heads up for those interested.

When you hear music, they are on commercial break.
