Did anyone catch NFL live?

I just ran home for lunch and caught a portion of NFL Live.

Salisbury is going over the hi-lights from last nights game and says:

"if McNabb throws the ball like that, anyone can, heck even I, can catch it"

Now, I am not claiming that catch was the best thing I have ever seen, but the guy had to make a pretty decent effort to catch it.

1. Yes, I know he is an NFL receiver and if it hits your hands you should catch it.

The point is, the guy is fighting as a nobody on a big stage and did make the catch.

2. Yes, I know Salisbury is a pompous ### and I think is a true blow hard.

3. Yes, I know there is no way he made that same pass back in the days he thought he was a QB.

4. If this was covered in the other Hank Basket thread I aplogize.

I think as part of their settllement with the NAACP after the Rush fiasco, ESPN had to agree to sing Donovan's praises whenever he was mentioned.

Honestly I have no idea.

I really felt like the catch was downplayed more than it should have been. Salisbury made it sound like anyone with a heartbeat could have caught it...I know I wouldn't have at any stage in my life. That's really not saying much though.

It was my lunch break and Tivo was already recording it...I thought I'd watch a little NFL info while I was at it.

I agree with Salisbury and I even made the comment that on most medium/long routes Baskett wasn't getting much separation if any at all.

The separation piece might be right, but the catch was pretty nice.

I don't really know how fast Baskett is, but the route and catch was a study in body position and speed to keep the defender off the ball and only giving himself a chance to catch it. It was a great job by Baskett and I was impressed.He will be a good later round pick up because he should be off most peoples radar and I see good production out of him this year. Especially if he continues to use his body the way he did on that catch. The mark of a really good receiver
