Seattle at San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Seattle should have let the 49ers score on the play after Kap's first down.
What? They are down two and only need a FG to win with 30 seconds left. I'll take that scenario every time. Letting teams score is dumb most of the time.
Correct answer by Doc - down 8 with a minute or down two with 26 seconds, taking the chance as a defense down 2
Would have been down 8 by more than 2 minutes.

Sweeeeeeet. Seattle is still in the driver seat, and are the best team in the NFC no doubt...but it feels great to get the win today against them

Game.

Not sure why Wilson tried for it all there. Pretty foolish.
Kearse is money on jump balls, he just fell down.
Even if he catches that, game is over. They had no time to run that far and spike it. Dumb attempt by Wilson.
As opposed to what other options to get 40 yards within 18 seconds with no timeouts?
Get a chunk, say 20 or so and then have a real shot at a Hail Mary.

I thought calling the TO's with over 3 minutes was a mistake. Shoulda held them in case 49rs got the 1st which they did anyways. Woulda left them at a min of over a minute

Good game. Going 1-1 with the Niners for the seasons and 1-1 coming off the bye with the Saints and Niners is about the best you can realistically hope for. Not necessarily the greatest stat line, but Wilson has yet to led his team into a loss by more than 7 points. Niners will have to play better than that if they want to win in Seattle, but they get this one by a nose.

A 70 yard Hail Mary? Yeah, good luck with that.

64 yds actually. You know, a distance that Wilson may have actually been able to get it to the end zone. The 84 yd Hail Mary worked out pretty well I suppose....

I think it's a wing and a prayer at that point anyways. You pretty much need a defensive collapse or a dumb penalty to have any hope. I do agree that a long throw needs to be right up against the sidelines in the hope that someone can catch it and get out of bounds.

Watching "The OT" after this game, and they had an NFL commercial where some black dudes got scared because Jerry Jones got on the elevator

I'm so happy I don't have to read ITS preen this week.
Definite silver lining. If there's one thing we know about him, it's that he handles losing as well as winning.. poorly.
Don't worry... he's lurking around waiting for his name to be mentioned. Seems to be the epitome of what the Seahawks franchise represent: boisterous, obnoxious, classless, and instigating. Russell is the exception... I often wonder if he clashes with the likes of those knuckle-headed defensive players.

Yeah, you can tell by how many Seahawk fans on just this very board agree with his every post.

Nice game for the 49ers - thought the Seahawks looked rather uninspired but was probably a result of a fired up 49er defense not allowing them to get into a rhythm offensively. lots of penalties seemed to derail he Hawks at key moments - thought the officiating was poor all around against both teams. Good win for the 49ers. in a way I'm almost glad the Hawks lost this one - hopefully it gets them refocused for the stretch run.

Good game, pretty much what I think everyone expected, a low scoring defensive battle. Good news is if these teams meet again it will be in Seattle as long as the Hawks don't fall apart and SF hasn't been able to do anything in Seattle.

Nailbiter of a game, and of course I'll take the win.

But if I'm Seattle, I'm still feeling pretty good for the playoffs an home field advantage. Taking the 49ers at home down to the wire isn't anything to sniff at.

Wilson's the real deal. Kaepernick needs some maturation.... maybe he gets there in another season or two, but Wilson's clearly got more poise and control of his offense.

I hope to see a repeat of this game in January.

Solid game from 49er defense. They deserved to win this game.

Not quite sure what to say about Kaepernck. I wouldn't go so far as to say they won in spite of him, but there's something there that just isn't right. I don't think SF needs him to be a great passer to win it all, but they're going to need something more and I'm not sure he has it in him. Would like to hear the SF faithful sound off on this. Am I way off base here?

Faithful here, and I'd say you're dead on. There's definitely reason to worry about his regression this year. I'm still hoping he proves us wrong, but yeah, he's just not looking the same as last year even in the games that they win easily. I could be ok with the bicep kissing, the petulant two word answers to the press, and wearing another team's hat in the offseason when he was lighting it up, but it grows a little tiresome when he's not. And this is coming from a guy who was telling people at the beginning of the season that there wasn't another QB in the league that I'd rather have than Kapper. So yeah, I've been disappointed with what I've seen this year, but as I said, still hopeful that he'll prove me wrong.

I'll give him a whole 'nother off-season with some roster improvements to start thinking his where he is at. Right now, the 49ers bigger problem is their depth at the run game if Gore can't hold up.

Ha ha, who thought we'd ever hear that? 49ers were thought to be TOO deep at RB for a while there.

I'm sure your post makes sense in your Fox-news addled head, but to the rest of us it was just a regular stupid commercial.
