Actually, your point was:
"nobody in the Tea Party has made an artistic or fantastical threat to shoot the President, unlike the borderline fascination with shooting Bush in the aughts."
Here's another one for you...you know, to further make your point:

Words are powerful tools...or powerful weapons. We all need to choose them carefully. As for me? I'll continue to state, for the record, that I believe violent radicals within the Tea Party pose a far, FAR greater threat to the safety of Obama and other elected officials than al-Qaeda. Primarily because they (American citizens) do not need to pass through any security or show any IDs/passports to either enter the country or freely move anywhere inside of it...along with the fact that many of them are (or easily can be) heavily armed.
Sprinkle in JUST enough hate, racism, classism, economic hardship, whatever, and it wouldn't take much to imagine one of these nut-jobs firing off a few rounds. Scares the daylights out of me, in fact. And the fact that Obama is probably as/more safe traveling abroad than he is moving within certain parts of our own nation absolutely disgusts me. As an American...NOT as a "Democrat" (for which I am not).
