Seems Gates vales takes a big drop. (1 Viewer)

this game has been very strange in a number of ways.

1. Oakland is terrible. Like Green Bay terrible..

2. Stole this from another thread but Art Shell looks like he's sleepwalking. He honestly looks like he doesnt remember where he is.

3. After 13 first half points, typical Schottenheimer says, eh, thatll do for today. Lets run Lorenzo Neal for 3 downs then punt all 2nd half.

Overall, it does look like a downgrade for Gates but who knows? 3 points wouldve won this game for SD and they seem to recognize this.

If i own any Raiders (thankfully just a late flier on Porter) i am dropping as soon as my league allows..

Yup Whitted as/s going back where he belongs....and i got Porter to but as a throw in on a deal, and he wont ever sniff my lineup with Harrison Ward and Wayne

it's only one game, and this is coming from a non-Gates owner . . . SD will have to score to keep up with some teams, that means they will have to open up the game . . .

He's got more catches and yards than he did at this time last year.

And they don't need to pass since the Raiders have about 40 yards total O.

SD hasn't had to throw the football.

Rivers looks solid when he has thrown. Pass just now to Erik Parker was sweet.

Marty will gain more and more confidence as the season goes on, with throws like that... there is a TD for Gates. Time to stop crying all ya'll.

Game is 60 minutes long.

god the shark pool really has turned to crap.
 Exactly.Yo, OP. Time to go back Undercover. Brotha.
Whatever that means. reality.....Gates wont be what he was in past years.......and Watson will be near him in term of production if not more. Call it what you want.
I call it a blowout of an awful team, and not needing to use the passing game. Why show the rest of the league what you have when you don't have to? From what he showed, Rivers is very good. That's all you need to care about.San Diego will win that division this year, and Gates will be a large part of that.

:lmao: how can you overreact to both games from week 1?Graham had wayyy too many targets when it matterred for Watson to meet the lofty expectations some have for him. Gates has a QB with his first start in "ages" and a running game that can't be stopped and is kind enough to not allow the Raiders O to see the field so they won't embarass themselves further. geesh

I'm going to try and trade Chris Baker for Gates, keep this talk up please at least until the trade goes thru...TIA

Damn. Us Gates owners are screwed now that the Chargers have unveiled their brilliant plan of running the ball 80% of the time. They won't possibly deviate from this in the future.

:lmao: at the overreaction in this thread. Gates still scored a td even with Rivers low amount of pass attempts. Rivers looked sharp, and they are not playing the raiders every week. And remember, its week 1. Chill out.

sharp but geesh is he gonna be Orton like and barely throw? I sure hope not. I hope Marty was getting his feet wet

I explained this. There was NO reason to throw this week. Rivers looked GREAT when he did throw.Everything's fine, my gramatically challenged GB.

I agree with Keys that there was no reason to throw tonight. I think the announcers hit it on the head when they said the Chargers are going to treat Rivers the same way the Steelers treated Rothlesberger. Pound away with the running game and only have Rivers pass when you have to.This will mean lower numbers for the passing game, how much depends on how well San Diego runs the ball.

Sure thing.
Why would you PM me when we have this big Shark Pool just for you to talk about your fantasy team?
sigs are great for this
:lmao:
feel free to put your PRL team in your sig :hophead:
:lmao:But I have FOUR first round picks next year. Five if you ever get off your ### and snap up Taylor before he goes off again. The offer still stands.Edit: Of my five leagues, THAT league is the only one I won this week. )#@()@ fantasy football.

Very :goodposting:Now is a great time to buy low on Chargers offensive players besides LT2. If Rivers keeps looking this sharp with the chances he gets, they will keep opening up the offense each week. By fantasy playoffs (or sooner), this offense could be the best all around unit in the league.

:goodposting: Why pass when you can hand it to LT for 6 yards every time. 16 for 100 at the half...they never had a real need for the pass, and when they did, Rivers looked very good.
