To a very untrained eye, here are my observations of the main skill position player I was watching:
QB: Really didn't see much out of the QB play (some very bad QB play for the most part). What did stand out was Pat White's super athleticism. But I was interested in Mayocks? comment about him needing to work at WR or returner, instead of QB.
WR: Iglesias really had a good game here; IMO he stood head-and shoulders (no pun intended to Barden fans) above any other WR in the game.
RB: I was really interested in how Jennings would do against tougher competition than he faced in college. He made a few noce runs but did not show me anything special tonite. It was not a bad nite for RBs in general: Brown, J Davis, Johnson, and Peerman all made some plays as well. The guy I didn't expect to be too high on, and who wowed me with his moves was Kory Sheets.............really looked explosive, and also ran inside with some determination in not having great results.
So i'd say i was underwhelmed with what I saw in Jennings (particularly to his highlight video while at Liberty - perhaps my expectations were too high), and came away most impressed with Sheets (and Iglesius at WR).
I'm sure others have more educated opinions than I do on this game. Love to hear 'em.
Edit: I just noticed wdcrob's thread started while I was typing mine. I'll add my comments to that thread, and mods can delete mine.
