Serious Biz Dynasty Year 17 - Congrats to Sparty - Year 18 (2025) site is live - Transactions open until end of divisional series (3 Viewers)

As I recall from last year, Fantrax locks transactions at the end of the season.

If you want to do any post-season roster shuffling, you'll have to wait until I renew the league for year 18 and make them there. We'll leave add/drops open for a week after that occurs.

@Spartans Rule @rodg12

Fantrax Treasurer automatically processes the winners' payouts to the same account originally used. Please make sure your Fantrax info is still current and let me know if there are any issues next week.

:suds: 3-peat feels awesome. Was kinda my goal after I got the first one since it hadn't been done before.

Weird season though. So many of my best bats were disappointing and/or hurt, but pitching was great and I had ridiculous luck with wire pickups. Tyler Fitzgerald, WTF. But I guess it doesn't matter how you get the points as long as you get em.

It appears that Fantrax can support maximum games played by hitters. It's done on aggregate rather than by individual position but it would reduce lineup spamming. If a team hit the limit, they'd stop accumulating hitting stats the next day just like for pitchers.

A max games setting of 2106 (13 positions x 162) would have only affected rodg, Sparty and HellToupee this year. Rodg got a 3.8% advantage by aggressively managing his lineup.

I'm in favor of this because it'll improve competitive balance a little and would give RnR one less thing to whine about.

This would get my vote.

The one potential loophole I thought of is that someone could effectively dump a position - e.g. don't carry a catcher and make up the games by spamming the rest of the lineup. But I'm not sure that would be a good strategy, and even if it was the benefits would be minimal compared to what you can do under the current rules.

My offensive strategy and rooster construction is built on no max .

Time to reconstruct your rooster, pal.

Loading up on MLB hitters is still going to be a good strategy. Teams have gone over by at most about 100 games (that dump a position idea I had isn't really viable the more I think about it). Making it to 2106 will still require solid depth, especially with all the injuries these days.

I spammed my lineups more aggressively than ever before with two catchers, more big league depth and Brendan Donovan but I still fell just short at 2104 games.
