On one end they are sending you nice clean water. On the other end they are taking the water you take a dump in and turning it back into water that you can drink. Which do you think costs more money?
Our sewer bill is directly tied to how much water we use. Kinda sucks if you have a pool and/or an irrigation system. The only remedy is to get a separate meter and run your pool and sprinklers through that one. That costs $275 for the second meter, plus the cost of plumbing the damn thing. They get you one way or the other. Wish I had a well.

You pay $82/month for sewar. That is steep. I think I'm paying 75/quarter and we don't pay based on consumption. Its a fixed amount. Only businesses in my town pay based on use.
I once looked at a house that had well water. The setup that they had, it looked like they were cooking crystal down in their basement. I was like, hell no to that.
