Seymour to Oakland - FF impact on Raiders DST? (1 Viewer)

From a fantasy perspective, what impact does Seymour becoming a Raider have on the Raiders team defense? Does Oakland's defense significantly improve now?

I just can't believe the Raiders. It's not like they are a player away. This is going to look bad if that 2011 pick to New England is a top 3 pick.

I really don't know what it does to the Oakland defense for this year but will be interested to see what others think.

No. Personnel will not dictate success of the Al Davis imposed antiquated defensive scheme. Not unless he comes up with another headstrong coach who does things his own way until he is run out of town, a la Gruden... and happens to get an Eric Allen, Charles Woodson, Rod Woodson group of players again... and an offense that can force teams to pass the ball again... Seymore is more of a penetrator than a clogger, and Al has a few of those already. Seymore is better than them, but he won't be able to stop the run single-handed and is not as good as he once was anyways.

Will we see teams like the Raiders trading first round picks due to what it cost to sign them? Its time for a rookie cap, but I can't help but wonder what Al Davis is thinking. But I have no room to talk as a Bengals fan we have Mike Brown and I never understand what he does.

what position does he play over there --- tackle?

or do they use more 3-4 fronts?

Davis has been doing everything he can to get a good DE. Just throwing #### to the wall to see what sticks, and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to put him at 4-3 DE. He's probably a better fit as a 3 technique DT, but making sense isn't what this is all about, is it?
