Scoring for the IDPs:

Assist 0.1

Sack 1

INT 1.5

Forced Fumble 0.5

(there are other ways for IDPs to score but these are the pertinent numbers)

Starting lineup:

Defense Option 2: 1-DT, 2-DE, 4-LB, 2-CB, 2-S

Defense Option 3: 2-DT, 1-DE, 4-LB, 2-CB, 2-S
Maybe we should also mention that rushing TDs are worth 2 points while passing and receiving TDs are only worth 1, otherwise there may not have been as many RBs taken up to this point...I'd appreciate any advice, too. I'm the NINJAS. :gang2:

I wanted to focus on the IDPs. But no doubt that RBs have huge value in this league.

Odell Thurman is a value pick as the next IDP off the board. After a recent camp one of the Bengals coaches described him as a "bad ###". Good sign for a MLB.

Sorry about that. I figure when viewing an IDP league draft one of the main points to consider is where to pick defensive players relative to offensive players... otherwise it's more of just a cheatsheet.

Please wait until I'm up before posting your advice. TIA ;)

With sacks being worth 10x more than an assist and 5x more than a solo, it would be tough to pass on Erasmus James...IMO.

Rolle went too high. No way he should go before Davis. Not sure I'm drinking the Ware Kool-Aid. Seems a bit high for me. If it was me, I would have gone Gore at 1.11.Nice pick Pick. I like Ruud and think he will be a monster in the middle once Quarles is gone.

Nice draft so far.

Oh, I think the offensive players need to be considered. I posted this mostly as an FYI to others out there. Hopefully, comments can be made on who went where and such. But obviously, we'll take advice, too.

Didn't notice the scoring system so slanted to big plays. Agree with Weiner on James, but Josh Bullocks is a good play as well with INT's valued incrediably high. Bullocks is a ballhawk that probably won't make a ton of tackles, but has great ball skills (INT's).

Nice draft so far.

Thanks. I just joined the league and appreciate the compliment :) As my second pick was approaching I was debating between Jones and Thomas Davis. I probably would have gone with Davis if he fell to me, but that's ok.

On the league MB, I complimented the Rolle pick but the more I think about it, the more I don't like it. The key positions in this league (and prolly any IDP) are LB, DE, and S in that order. In my limited experience, it's easy to reload at DT and CB. Somewhat easy to reload at S. And very difficult to reload at DE and LB. In other words, it's easy to find a decent CB in free agency. I can several IDPs I'd take before Rolle. The Ware pick doesn't bug me.FWIW, the whole league trolls this place and a few are even on staff.

if considering offense reggie brown is looking better & better the more the owens estrangement unfolds.

Hillbilly has been remarkably consistent, hasn't he?Nice, you've got a John 14:6 and a Jonathan 5:8 in the same League...Then again, so have you, Pick! Good to see you're taking baby steps - gearing up for #5 this year?Just figured out Andy Boucher's pedigree into No MercyAll kidding aside, I do like the Arrington selection. With Westbrook, Zereoue, and Griffin already on the roster, looks like you favor that style of RB?No in between for you, hmm?Scatbacks or Pounders (SDavis, Pinner, Harris, Buckhy)... He'll make a good fit. You're right, it's probably early to take a CB, but judging by CB Draft Position, Carlos Rodgers is going to qualify as a nice pick for someone...

The one variable that hasn't been discussed is that the guy who took the CB may have been loaded at S and had a dire need for a CB. That being the case its' hard to argue with Rolle versus the other CB's

I'd take Thurman, but a lot depends on your roster. If you are weak at DE you should seriously consider James.
Good point.DEs:

Chike Okeafor

Greg Spires

Alex Brown

Kenyon Coleman

LBs:

Adalius Thomas

Mike Vrabel

Kevin Hardy

Matt Stewart

Chris Draft

Nate Wayne

Nate Webster

Barrett Ruud (fresh off the draft)

:bag:

I also have the 3.04, 3.14, and 4.04 picks.

Take Erasmus James. The picking is very slim at that position and your DE's suck and for that matter your LB's do too. You can pick up some other LB's with later picks. Marcus Spears is stuck in the 3-4 so James is the guy to get this year for DE help.

Traded the pick to Thunder.I get 2.12 and his 3rd next year. He gets my 2.09 and 4th next year. He's going offense and I think the two guys in between are also looking offense. We'll see.

My biggest need right now is probably on defense, specifically CB, but I'm trading up to bolster an offensive position where my two current players are lacking in job security. I also agree with Pick that it's easier to rebuild at CB/DT than at S, LB, DE. Of course, judging by the performance of my secondary as a whole last season, maybe I should put more weight in those areas. In either case, I picked up Springs and Doss earlier on in a Burleson/Porter trade... hopefully I've upgraded my secondary to some degree in that deal and I can continue to draft offensive players at the top of the draft.

Wow! That was close. I figured 0-1 IDPs gets picked at 2.10 and 2.11. My guy was James but if he was picked then I'd go with Thurman. Thurman goes at 2.10 and the guy at 2.11 takes Merriman. Too close for comfort there but it worked out.

Cool! I was debating about taking David Pollack because my DEs need more improvement than my safeties, but I'm pretty sure I would have to move him to LB.Pick took Pollack right after me.

Justin Tuck is a guy I would look at in the later rounds for DE help. He probably won't be doing much right away, but he is a good developmental guy.

Several guys were considered for my last pick. Felt like Pollack was a safe pick who will start immediately. So far my IDP haul is:LB RuddDE JamesLB Pollack
