Shark Pool Board Mock Draft - Version 1 (1 Viewer)

Just so you guys know I am open to trading the 10 pick to move down if others are interested...just throwing it out there.

Seattle is likely open to moving down from 11 to anywhere in the early 20's depending on the offer.

Andy, with all the talk in some of the posts of trading up/down, would it be possible for you to put a link to the draft pick trade calculator in the initial post of the thread?

It could help expedite trade talks between people.

Link placed above the round 1 picks.

Andy, it's your mock so I'll pose this question to you:

Are we picking who we would like the teams to pick or who we think the teams would pick?

If you read this forum, you know that we are all smarter than any GM in the NFL, so for sure who you know who they should pick

Boy I don't know about that Washington/Minnesota trade. That's a lot to give up for RG3.

I just read that Shanahan may be very interested in bringing in Matt Flynn.

I lean more toward the latter, but won't put up a stink about the former as long as it is reasonably defendable.

eakfootball signed up around 2:00 yesterday so we'll give him until around that time to pick then we'll think about moving forward.

here it is... #4.... and for what it's worth, and mr Rymer can verify, I wasn't taking RG3 with my pick.

With the #4 pick in the 2012 entry draft, the Cleveland Browns Select: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

Commentary:

Surprise, surprise... a CB. Now, some of you may have expected me to take RG3, and I would have. But I'm going a different direction with this pick.

Haden is a star in the making, while Sheldon Brown really picked it up this year. Problem is, Brown is becoming (is) an old man. Skrine and Patterson could be good replacements, but I have a better idea up my sleeve.

The Browns will use this pick to bolster their defense with an elite talent to compliment Joe Haden. In a division where D is king, the Browns go balls deep and make their pass defense the envy of the NFL.

Everything I see is indicating the opposite, that the Skins don't like Flynn that much. Sorry bout earlier Andy, told ya I was tired, didn't see the red + font 7! Haha, just woke back up.

UGHHHHHH I hope we get moving as we have a game tonight at 7 so from about 5 oclock-10 oclock I am out of commission :(

I just realized it's been 2.5 hours since the last pick. We pretty much know who the pick will be here, don't we?
Yes, the Bucs need an OT. Make the pick.
<_< Honestly, they don't.

They're not going to take a right tackle at #5 and Penn is a more than decent left tackle.

So, one of Kalil or Penn could play right tackle. If you need a tackle, and the best prospect at the position in years is available at #5, you draft him and worry about right or left later.

I could see them going Richardson, but I see no way Kalil gets out of the top 5.

Obviously I want Kalil to go to the Vikings. But this is an exaggeration depending on how many years we're talking about. I think both Joe Thomas and Jake Long were better prospects coming out.

I could see the Vikings trading back up a spot in a situation like this, just to make sure they nab Kalil (huge need for them).

I was thinking Richardson.
They have needs elsewhere and already have a pretty good young RB in Blount.
Blount is a stiff with a fumbling problem. In this case I agree with Rotoworld's assesment:
The holes in Blount's game were really exposed over the final month. In his last five games, he averaged 2.97 yards per carry, got benched for a fumble and scored just one touchdown. With the Bucs likely to be playing from behind a lot in 2012 again, Blount will be an overrated fantasy option going forward. He runs to contact and caught 12 passes in 14 games this year.

Most don't project richardson till 10 or later.

4 years. :)

It's the same net effect. The point is tackle is one of their lowest needs.
