I actually went Owen Daniels here. two years in the league, 14th and 8th; better stats both years than Vernon Davis except 1 less TD this year.
Pretty good QB, AJ around to keep the offense moving and away from Daniels. Improving team overall.
I certainly can see where people vote for Clark or Gonzo depending on your perspective. But, Daniels is about as underrated as Cooley - with similar stats this year (and if you look at their first 2 seasons), except TDs.

I agree, although I am not at all surprised to see us alone in voting him here. Gonzo's best days are behind him, although he may have another solid season or two. I can see Clark here though, and he's probaby safer, but I think Daniels has a little more high side potential.

That pretty much sums it up. I never draft someone based on TDs scored. Clark had less receptions per game than Daniels and Shockey; I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if he's outperformed by those two plus Lee, Scheffler, and maybe Jeff King next year - if you don't project TDs. Now, I understand, Clark was Peyton's target in the red zone; but if Marvin returns and Gonzo2 continues to improve, Clark becomes his 4th option. MAYBE Marvin doesn't return and Clark is Peyton's #2 option, but I sure wouldn't be drafting him #6 with that theory.
I agree about Dallas Clark and Heath Miller. Miller is a solid bet to finish between 6-10th next year. I don't think there's much difference between the two. Clark just hit the TD homerun this year.
Also agree that VDavis is way over rated here. He's still getting the potential vote I guess.
I'd also think that Ben Watson and LJ Smith deserve to be in this conversation. LJ had two top 8 finishes before getting hurt most of this season, and Watson finished top 10 this year despite missing a few games due to Roy Williams giving him the "Roy Williams" tackle. They may not have the upside or excitement factor of some of these other names, but they have shown they can produce as #1 TEs.
