Shaun Alexander May Miss Week 4 Vs. Chicago (1 Viewer)

The Seahawks are expected to update Shaun Alexander's condition at a Monday press conference, but "the early word" is that he may miss Week 4.

Alexander has started 99 straight games, but Maurice Morris could get the start against Chicago this Sunday night. It's early, but Alexander is showing the characteristics of someone who had many carries (430) last season.

madden strikes again...

just kidding, i'm don't believe in superstitions (i just hope superstitions don't believe in me?)...

i think yudkin did interesting study, made observation that RBs coming off super bowl show more signs of a drop off (on percentage basis)... presumably because of extra wear (he may have factored in high number of carries, too, not JUST super bowl RB... if so, alexander would certainly qualify as candidate for this effect by that criteria as well)...

some have speculated that he would become complacent once he got paid, but not sure i put much credence in that... how old is alexander again (like 28-29?)? he is still playing at high level & won't fall off cliff, but corollary of aging can be getting hurt more easily & taking longer to recover...

of course, one potentially big factor it is hard to assign precisely what impact is... losing maybe best OG in NFL in hutch... they have downplayed it, but what do you expect them to say... i would be interested in SEA homer like shick chiming in if they don't look as strong on left side runs in small sample size we have so far in three games of 06 season?
