Shaun Hill Bandwagon (1 Viewer)

Bye weeks suck. Hasslebeck was supposed to be my backup and he is hurt and the best on the wire was Hill.

Positives: Against the Rams and no Gore so maybe more throwing.

Negatives: It's Shaun Hill

Who is sadly with me?

Ya kidding me! Go get Seneca W if you are that needy. I am starting him in the one league that I am 0 and 3 <_<

i'm playing against him in one of my leagues... i'm pretty excited about that, i might be more excited than the guy who's starting him. i'm drinking coffee tomorrow, and i'm hoping for a 30+ carry game, no need to pass if the coffee is hot. :coffee:

and if you really feel like gambling i'd maybe go with josh johnson. the skins sure made stafford look pretty damn swell last week.

In Hill's two games against StL last year, he went for about 500yds and 5 TDs.
:goodposting: Wasn't Hill one of the better fantasy qbs 2nd half of last season? Why would people think that Hill wouldn't have a solid fantasy performance against one of the worst teams in the NFL? You could do a lot worse than that in my opinion.

Im with you.Warner on the bye...also was going to count on Hasselbeck...but tomorrow its the Shaun Hill show.

No McNabb, other QB I dropped, Unless Coffee just blows up which I'm hoping he doesn't I expect Hill to put up somewhere in the yard of 220 2TD low end numbers of 190 1 TD at the worst.

if there was a week to start Hill, this is it.

I'd rather go with Hill and Gore out than Wallace.

Those who had to run with Hill as bye week filler last week got mediocre results - which is all you can really hope for. He ended up being the 12th best scorer in our league for week 4.

Who has to run with him this week as the 49ers host the Falcons and what are you expecting from him?

The CBS sports fantasy guru projects him for a lowly 16 of 25 for 185 yards, 0 td passes and 1 int. with 5 rushes for 16 yards.

Falcons D is 6th worst in pass yard defense, but 4th best against not giving up pass td's.

Should be a tough match-up for Hill and the 49ers pass game but certainly he would likely do better than what the "guru" is projecting.

Seattle's pass D is 16th, allowing 219.8 yds per and Hill only threw for 144 against them.

Minnesota is 12th, allowing 211.2 and Hill threw 195 against them.

St. Louis is 19th, allowing 224.5 and Hill threw 152 against them.

So long as the 49ers defense keeps them in games, Hill WILL be kept under wraps. In Singletary's eyes, the less they have to attempt a pass, the better. He wants to shorten the game, play defense and run the ball.

I would be mildly surprised if Hill didn't pass for at least ONE TD. A starting QB practically does that with his eyes closed in this league (JaMarcus Russell aside). But the 16-25, 185 sounds about right to me so long as the Falcons have limited success and are never up by more than single digits.

Wk1 vs AZ - 12.36

Wk2 vs SEA - 7.46

Wk3 vs MINN - 17.80

Wk4 vs StL - 17.88

For a QB you probably got off the WW, I'll take it.

Drafted him as a backup in all leagues, played him for Warner in one last week. Now have to play him for Brees and Rivers this week. We'll see

Those looking for bye week filler at QB look to have a choice this week between Jake Delhomme at home v. the Skins or Shaun Hill at home v. the Falcons.

The Falcons played the Dolphins and Panthers in Atlanta and then the Patriots in Foxboro. The Falcons stingy defense has only given up 5 total td's (3 pass rec.) which is tied for second best in the league on overall td's and tied for 4th best in defending against pass td'ds:

*They allowed a single passing TD to Pennington, which was a 4th qtr. 9 yard pass to Ricky Williams.

*They allowed a single passing TD to Dellhomme, which was a 4th qtr. 11 yard pass to Rosario.

*They allowed 1 passing TD by Tom Brady which was a 4th qtr. 36 yard TD pass to TE Chris Baker.

They are 9th worst in passing yards allowed (after 3 games) allowing 253.7 ypass yds/game, however in their last two games they trended up in this category(v. the Panther and the Patriots), the Falcons D gave up an average of 292.5 yards.

They are coming off a bye and well rested and playing on the road.

"Fantasy Trader" gave good Hill stats a few posts above.

Delhomme is at home against what looks to be an even more stingy Redksins defense (granted they played really only a tough team in the Giants, the others being the Lions, Rams, and Bucs). Quite frankly, I think the decision is macht nichts between who is the better bye week play today between Hill or Delhomme.

I am torn between Anderson @ BUF or S Hill vs ATL so i pick Anderson I Have Culter on bye
I have the same choice ... Just worried about Anderson because who is he going to throw to? Anderson can also put up negative pts. like he did the week before

Here are DA's career stats on the road (includes the 2007 career year). Less weapons today, against a defense that is patched.G----W-----L-----T----Cmp---Att---Cmp%---Yds--TD--Int--Rate--Y/A--AY/A--A/G--Y/G---Att--Yds---Y/A---TD--- A/G---Y/G--TD----Pts15---5-----10----0----276----509---54.2%---3156--22-23---68.7-6.20--5.03--33.9-210.4--28--56--- 2.00---2 ----1.9----3.7---2 -----12The Bills D is 21st against the pass (yds allowed) this season and tied for 20th with 6 pass TD's given up.

Thank PghrobAnderson it wil be

Just looked at Atlanta's 3 games ... Their pass D hasn't done crap.

Pennington / Dolphins - Terrible passing team but had their best passing game of the season against Atlanta

Delhomme / Carolina - Another Passing nightmare had by far Their best passing game of the season against Atlanta (300 yds and a TD)

Brady / Patriots - Brady had his 2nd best game of the season (277 yds and a TD)

Buffalo had 2 bad games against Patriots and Tampa

Then shutout Drew Brees 172 yds and 0 TDs and allowed 115 yds and a TD againts Miami ( Last 2 Game combined Less than 300 yds and 1 TD)

SF is a good team that seems to be getting better

Playing at home.

Hill doesn't turn the ball over much

Cleveland is a bad team that seems to be getting worse

Playing on the road

Anderson Turns the ball over a lot

... I'm going with Hill
