Shaun Hill doesn't throw to cj enough (1 Viewer)

This is the first lions game I've watched from start to finish (thankfully) and although megaton has scored a ton of Tds he doesn't get nearly enough looks. No shots down the field at all. It's quit remarkable that with his talent more isn't being done with him.

Shaun Hill can't physically throw the ball down the field. That's why every time Matt Stafford gets hurt you see a bunch of these;

  Schwartz + Linehan :wall:

About 75% of the time when Calvin was lined up right, Hill would drop back and only look left. Very puzzling.

Look what happens when u throw it to cj ######
I noticed this as well. Obviously if your a Calvin owner you're going to pick out where he's lined up (isn't very difficult) and Hill hardly ever looked to him. I saw quite a few plays were the ball should have been thrown to him. Can't really complain with his numbers, although when you watch their games you see they could EASILY be much better.

Thats what I'm saying his numbers are great but imagine what they'd be like if hill actually looked his way regularly

Seeing as I own both Calvin and Charles in all my leagues, I fully understand what people are going through when they can't figure out why certain players aren't being used more lol

The week Minnesota played Detrout the first time, something like week 3 I wrote this. Hill needs to just throw it to him. When Moss looked covered, did Cpep check down or did he give his guy a shot?

When Barry was stuffed for 1, -1, 2...did they stop giving him the ball or did they continue to feed him because they knew he'd break a big one.

On that 3rd down play where they threw the jump ball from the 1 to Derek Williams instead of Calvin I about went througj my screen, that's just plain dumb football.

Sometimes in sports there are instances where the average fan would be far superior to the coaches and front office making calls. I still remember when Randy Moss was selected like 16th overall (if memory serves). My Seahawks, desperately needing a WR, passed on Moss to draft a LB named Clemons who turned out to be one of the biggest busts at LB since Brian Bosworth. Why the hell wouldn't you take Moss? You could just tell the kid (at the time) was going to be one of the most prolific WRs in the game. Needing a WR desperately they passed. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever. What about this year with the Packers? This is a team which is almost talented enough to win a superbowl? They aren't talented enough because they have Jackson in the backfield, perhaps the worst starting RB in the league. Deangelo Williams, in his last year of a contract, could have been had for peanuts. Why not make a play? Everyone of us fans could see it, why not the management? And what the hell were the Cardinals thinking waiving Lienart when you have Derek Anderson at QB?

Of course Calvin is the same. This kid should be the most prolific WR in the game today and by a huge margin. One of the most passing offenses in the league, a guy with his talent, etc etc etc. How the HELL does Calvin not have the most targets of anyone in the NFL? Only god knows. I don't even think the coaching staff knows, as they are too stupid to know such things. If they knew, they would fix the problem.

You definitely need to be in the front office of an NFL team.

so f'n this. are you kidding me you try that play to someone other than calvin? it's not like there were two defenders lining up in 81's face. this team had herman moore for christ sake and did this play to him routinely. calvin needs way more jump balls it makes me sick.

In their defense, Williams should make that catch. Bryant Johnson should also have had a TD. The play calling was ok, but the execution was not. Which actually proves that they should try and force it to CJ more often, IMO.

Right, which is why we're upset it wasn't thrown to Calvin. You throw a jump ball from the one to D. Williams over Calvin freaken Johnson? I mean, a jump ball from the 1 should be a surprise play enough, since you're not running it from that spot. The Lions got too cute on the play, let's surprise them even more. Not only are we not going to run the ball from the one, we're going to use the the most dominant jump ball threat in the league as a decoy and instead we're going to throw it to D. Williams and surprise everyone! Oops, incomplete.......but he should have caught it!Shoulda, woulda, coulda will get your #### fired.
