Smells like chicken
I wonder if they will grab Kevin Curtis too?? And why hasn't BMW been cut yet??

Local radio show on my way home - 1130 am said that Chris Brown was in Town and would decide between Detroit and Buffalo soon. - total rumor.

Associated Press, Sports Illustrated - [Full Article]

They would be making a huge mistake with taking Calvin Johnson. Furrey is a very capable #2 option.

why?The guy is the best player in the draft. And come to think of it, that isn't a Millen move, plus Martz likes "smurf" types for receivers anyway. so back to your point, it's not a mistake for the Lions to take him if Oakland doesnt, but it's not a Lion-like move

Don't discount the Lions taking Calvin Johnson - they want Furrey to be the #3 not the #2. Curtis would have taken that #2 spot, McDonald does not. They certainly could go another year with Furrey as the 2, but they have at least left open the option to take CJ at 2.
I don't disagree that it's a likely scenario that Furrey holds the #2 spot if CJ isn't drafted BUT IIRC McDonald was higher than Furrey on the depth chart with the Rams

I don't know much about Furrey and his days in St. Louis. So I would be open to any debate.

The trade of Bly to Denver, left a hole at CB. I know that Furrey was a free safety, but for some reason I can see Furrey returning to defene and the Lion's going with Johnson in the draft if available. McDonald then fills the slot that Furrey was brought in to play.

Stranger things have happened here in Detroit.

I believe it will be Furrey vs McDonald for WR2 in TC. Curtis will go elsewhere. Not too long ago Curtis and McDonald were considered equally likely (Looker surprisingly was being mentioned as well) as heirs to Bruce.

Given Stallworth and Horn are off the market some team will pay Curtis a lot of money to start. I think that team will be either SF or TEN
