One thing that has been addressed is the fact he is not playing the field which might have something to do with it. I think the Tigers are going to try and get him in the field more to try to break the slump. I think he's swinging well but he can't straighten anything out. As someone already pointed out, he is still getting on base and from what I've seen there is nothing wrong with his eye which is still one of the best in baseball. Hopefully he breaks this slump with some big games.
Does his swing look the same (same speed, etc.)? If it does, don't sweat it. Slow starts happen. He's a natural. His swing will slow down eventually. Don't know if this is the year it starts...
