Got this from NFL.com's fantasy

New York Giants Pro Bowl TE Jeremy Shockey did not break any bones in his right foot or ankle this past weekend against the Washington Redskins. Shockey underwent a third straight day of testing Tuesday and nothing was found to be wrong, the Giants said. The soreness in Shockey's foot and ankle and his ability to practice will be assessed on a day-to-day basis in preparation for Sunday's game in Atlanta. Shockey was forced off the field in Sunday's 19-3 win over Washington with what was described as a foot injury. X-rays after the game did not reveal any broken bones. More tests Monday also found no problem. Shockey has been playing hurt all season.

I'm NOT liking that they medically tested it 3 straight days, as if he's saying "there's gotta be some broken bones in there".

Visanthe was just 2 for 18 and has done squat this year.

Well please post any news ya come across here. I'm planning on him sitting

News? It's Shockey. You dont need updates.

He will have some injury, through which he will probably play and be utterly unproductive.

Then he will rant about not being used properly and how the coaching sucks.

Once he removes his foot from his mouth, he will realize that he accidentally bit his toe.

That will lead to a condition where he will have some injury, through which he will probably play and be utterly unproductive.

:lmao:

I am definitely regretting drafting Shockey. I had to drop either he or Desmond Clark for a defense and chose Clark. I think I might have blown that one...

Honestly, unless you drafted Heap, Winslow or maybe LJ Smith you would be unhappy with any TE selected in the top 10-12 rounds. And the rub is the aforementioned three all have legitimate concerns to remain healthy. This was billed as the year of the TE and it has been anything but.

I actually have Shockey, but Clark is on the WW. I am thinking about burning a high WW pick on him and sitting Shockey until he heals.

Giants injury update, TE Shockey might practice

Since the doctors gave the Giants no reason to sit him, TE Jeremy Shockey was going to try to practice today, according to Tom Coughlin (practice is closed to the media). Doctors have also cleared rookie WR Sinorice Moss to participate in individual drills, though neither he nor LB Carlos Emmons (torn pec) were expected to practice with the full team.

Giants TE Shockey says pin in foot did not break

Giants TE Jeremy Shockey says the pin in his foot did not break. "My foot has a pin in it. It is what it is. The pin didn't break. I was very relieved when I saw that everything was in tact. It is what it is. I got hurt early, what can you do? You've got to fight back. The bye week was there and now I'm doing everything I can to help this team win."

PER ROTOWORLD:

Jeremy Shockey (ankle), "practiced well," Thursday, according to coach Tom Coughlin.

We'd love to see Shockey play a whole game without limping around, but he's worth keeping in fantasy lineups another week.

Injury Update: TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle/foot) practiced yesterday. "He is going to try to go today," said Head Coach Tom Coughlin before yesterday's practice. "He will do some today. He is sore. And he will have some issues, but hopefully it will be a progressive thing where the soreness gets less and less each day. Like all players, it's important to practice to be ready to play. So Jeremy will do as much as he can do."

I picked up Clark as insurance for Shockey on the WW week 2. Here's my strategy from here on out: Start Clark until I see the proctologist has found and removed Shockey's head from his bung hole.....

(KFFL) New York Giants TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle, foot) practiced Thursday, Oct. 12 and said he plans to start Week 6. Shockey said he is frustrated by the two injuries to his right foot, but he still feels he can do better than the 12 catches he has so far this year. The 12 catches over the first four games of the season is the lowest amount for him in his career.

KFFL) Giants.com reports New York Giants TE Jeremy Shockey (foot, ankle) is altering his attitude toward how he perceives the season and the injuries that have hampered him in recent weeks. "No matter how frustrated I am, it's not going to make anything better," Shockey said. "I kind of have a new mentality now. I come to work and I go home and do my own thing, besides staying up three nights worrying about things and not sleeping at night. I'm used to getting hurt. I'm just going to try to be more relaxed. When I get my time off I'm not going to think about football like I've done in the past. I'm trying to take the mentality of this thing - it's a long season and hopefully it will pay off. That's expecting to be successful, expecting to win a game, and from a personal standpoint, hope to contribute a lot to help this team win."

Trade him and another player to upgrade the other position while Shockey's name still has value.

Most leagues have at least 3 TE on the WW just as good stat wise if not better.

bump for anything new out of NY. not optimistic, as it sounds like more of the same here.

I'm gonna hate myself when I bench Shockey for Stevens :bag: and he finally has a decent game, but I can't take another 3 catches for 30 yds - no score and watching from the sidelines in the 2nd half game out of him.

Same here - I hate benching him for McMichael but just don't trust Shockey right now - I'm sure he's in for abig game on my bench!

Ditto for me. I'm starting Clark until I see Shockey get back to pre-injury form.

:pickle: those of us that either didn't have another option at TE or just stuck with him

:wall: for you guys that benched him joking he'd have a big day

All we can say is ....its about TIME!
