If your the commish, shouldn't you be the person who is dictating the positions? Colston is not a TE and is listed as one probably by accident. Don't do this--especially as the commish--because it could undermine your league. At the very least, it sets a really bad precendent.3C said:NO wr Colston is listed as a TE. I wouldn't/couldn't do it. I was the first yes answer. I overrode the website and changed him to a wr. Kinda screwy that they listed him as a te.If you do it, just be prepared for your league mates to call you on it. If you feel comfortable with it thats on you. If he is a TE, he is a TE. You have to go by the site you are using, but expect other owners to look for loopholes as well. For anyone on this board who cares about Fantasy Baseball, it is the equivalent of using Schilling as your relief picther this year
Johnson is a known commodity. for all I know, NO could be moving Colston to TE. He does have TE size. But, seeing as how most depth charts list him as a WR, I'll go with that. Of course, earlier check on NFL.com depth charts doesn't have him listed at all.if chad johnson was listed as a te, would you expect no one to start him because the website made a mistake and listed him as a te? that being said it isnt really fair, but hopefully the website will fix the error.
Johnson being known doesnt really have anything to do with it. I guess what I was trying to say is if you were going to start him as a WR then go ahead and use him as a TE. If you're using him as a TE just to take advantage of an error than yeah, you should feel guilty.Johnson is a known commodity. for all I know, NO could be moving Colston to TE. He does have TE size. You shouldn't be the commish if you have to ask this question. Players get mis-labeled all the time. It's your job to make sure this doesn't happen or at least doesn't jeopardize the league. It doesn't matter if Colston pans out or not, if you have no integrity, neither does your league.3C said:NO wr Colston is listed as a TE. I'm in a TE required league. So whats the chance he becomes their WR2 and put up some decent numbers this year?Saints homer here ... Colston was drafted as a WR . but he was going to be swtiched to TE . hence alot of th sites listing him as a TE .. but once camp started Colston proved he was actually ready to be a WR and coudl most likely develop as a WR .. so as of now he is a WR . and for whoever was actually using the nfl.com depth charts .. ouch !!!! they are the last depth charts i woudl use . .
he was a WR at Hofstrawe'll see, I won't believe he's their #2 til I see it. Everything I read was he "could" be, so could several other WRs.Saints homer here ... As of now...from what I'm hearing, he is a WR so I changed him to one.No, you shouldn't feel guilty. But you shouldn't keep him at TE if he isn't one.
Yep. changed.I would have felt guilty even though the league rules state we follow the website determination of player position. The earlier explanation that they drafted him as a TE but then moved him back to WR explains why the site has him as a TE.This is fine in baseball when a guy plays a position in the minors then moves when he's brought up.I don't see an issue honestly, but as commish you're sort of not supposed to take advantage.I'd bring it up to the league and say that he's only available at WR, not TE, so the loophole is closed.
