Should I warn the other owner? (1 Viewer)

So I am playing against the MJD owner in the championship game, if MJD is out he might get screwed. I am also hurting at RB, should I pick up R Jennings or let him know first that I am thinking of picking him up. I really don't want to screw another owner like that.

Depends. Are you the commish?

You absolutely don't have to tell him, and shouldn't. He should be paying attention as much as you are. Taking Jennings is a totally different matter though. There probably aren't many guys available that are better options in free agency...I don't think you're screwing him at all. There have to be other options available. Don't feel sorry for him. If he were smart and paying enough attention he'd already have Jennings on his team.

So are you asking if you should inform your opponent that you might be thinking of picking up a vitally important RB, just in case he wants to do it first?

What kind of goody-two-shoes, everyone-gets-a-prize-just-for-participating league are you in?

Picking up a handcuff RB is not screwing anyone over...it's called playing fantasy football. It's up to each person to manage their own team.

What is with the rise in these threads? Christmas generosity? Getting in touch with my inner Herman Edwards....

"YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!"

Pick up Jennings and start him.

My opponent has MJD in his starting lineup with Jennings on his bench.

I'm not saying a word...I am most likely losing AJ and fair is fair. :goodposting:

Are you kidding bro? It's the damn Super Bowl and you're thinking of telling him? Pick him up yourself and start him.

The dude has 3 days to make a simple change. Don't count on him not doing it.

Come on, he's probably a person that has a super serious life - cut him a break and tell him and let him pick up Jennings - remember, you are only sharing public info . . .

He's a priest. He's been a Christmas eve masses all day long.

What he is, he's more important than anyone that actually can pay attention to football news. You know, like everyone else on the planet that has a smartphone.

not that it matters anyway, its only pretend football, so why care about the outcome?

You know, I never thought about point. Let's go ahead and shut down FBG. MFL just to be sure. We can all carry on with more important things.ETA: If that's ok with Ignoratio and the gang

Do it if you really want to but don't feel obligated. The games are two days off, plenty of time for him to get informed. Besides I think you should let him run his own darn team. If he screws it up that's on him. And it certainly would not diminish your victory, although it would make it more amusing if you lose.

If you're just an owner, no. Pick up Jennings and defeat your opponent. But if you're the commish, you have to play by a special set of rules. Just because other owners can do it doesn't mean you can. Other owners might question your fairness, so you are obligated to punish your team in order to prove how open and honest you are.

I don't think you know just how important this guy is. You can't expect him to manage his fantasy football team while being a father, employee, etc all at the same time. That's just ridiculous.
