How can the Vikings celebrate that NFC North crown if the Giants just lay down? And you know the Vikings will try to punk Big Blue's second and third string by 50 points to make sure they win the North.

Knowing Coughlin, he wont be resting guys so much as letting players with injuries and dings get to 100%. Eli should be in there for the first half if not a bit more. Their WRs will be in there. Ward and Bradshaw should split with more Bradshaw perhaps. Anyone with a ding won't play, but the rest should at least start.

It's a particularly interesting question because we know that the Giants didn't rest their players in the meaningless finale vs. the Patriots and that effort turned their season around and led to the title.

That, plus knowing that they'll get a bye and then 2 home games could lead them to worry about complacency.

But I think you rest the guys in the 2nd half if they looked reasonably sharp in the 1st half. They could very well be playing Minnesota in the playoffs (although I don't think they can in the Divisional Round if the Vikes lock up the 3 spot) ... no need to give them too much information. :2cents:

If the Bears win tomorrow I hope not!

But I can see why they would. They have noting to gain and a lot to lose.

Yep.

Teams have all season to control their own destiny, so I do not feel sorry for those who have to depend on help at the end of the season to make the playoffs. The Giants clinched the home field, so they earned the right to rest their starters, if that is what they want to do.
