This is one of those songs that immediately takes me to a specific time in my life, almost to the day.
Best of their hipstery lot249. Kings of Leon - Sex On Fire
Probably too high on the list. But I think I added it around this spot a few years ago when I saw a smoking hot chick do this at karaoke.
Great choice. Kitschy band but this is deserving.246. Violent Femmes - Gone Daddy Gone
Interesting band. I feel like everyone was listening to them everywhere in 8th and 9th grade, and then it was like everyone forgot about them.
Yes
I would have gone with the much over played “they less I know the better”. BTW I call them The Tame Impalas because it bugs my son’s girlfriend.
Feel free to take a bath with your toaster239. Coldplay - Speed of Sound
This band gets a lot of hate around these parts. At least I know @General Malaise is a fan.
True story: I had no idea what the name of this song was for decades. I mean I’d heard the song and the name of the song but never put them together.
Both awesome choices. You have somewhat redeemed yourself, sir or madam.226. The Shins - Simple Song
Also considered: New Slang, Name For You
229. Cranberries - Dreams
This becomes an earworm every time I hear it. No matter what else I listen to tonight, I'll be hearing this in my head for a week.
RIP Gord and Dolores
HEY, MAN, IS THAT FREEDOM ROCK?
TURN IT UP!HEY, MAN, IS THAT FREEDOM ROCK?
WELL, [cool people filll in the next line]!
The album was released in 1987.When did that commercial run, by the way? I'm thinking 87-94?
Another intro song for a Shuke video. Maybe he eats an entire plate of nachos is a bite or two.
Uncanny.
I DON'T HAVE TORTILLA CHIPS DON'T RUB IT INAnother intro song for a Shuke video. Maybe he eats an entire plate of nachos is a bite or two.
I hate to be that guy but I would have had this band much, much higher.224. The National - The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness
Being from Cincinnati, they got very heavy rotation on WNKU. This song probably more than any other really makes me miss that station.
Doesn't have to be tonight. I will spark one up if you tell me you'll try to get to 200 tonightI DON'T HAVE TORTILLA CHIPS DON'T RUB IT IN
Awesome song.223. The Church - Under The Milky Way
I should move this up, but I really want to hear it right now.

If you're pouring for you I'd go with what you prefer.Should I pour another drink? If so, whiskey or gin?
The latter. I'll join you.Should I pour another drink? If so, whiskey or gin?
If you lived in California you would have a tortilla chip dispenser built into your fridge. State law. You can look it up.I DON'T HAVE TORTILLA CHIPS DON'T RUB IT IN
Yes, a negroni has been pouredThe latter. I'll join you.
I don't think I've ever heard of them.Funny story about the above mentioned Rob.
About 10-12 years ago Dramarama played at a local bar. You might know them from their TWO “hits” ‘Anything Anything’ (which is great) or ‘Last Cigarette’ (which is decent).
I’ll bet $100 that Rockaction has written a 20 page dissertation on Freedom Rock.I'll bet anyone $10 that @Binky The Doormat owns Freedom Rock on cassette.
Great jukebox/coverband song from back in the day. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Azj_AjdNWwYI don't think I've ever heard of them.
I'm Rob, minus the T-shirt. Milky Way is a great song but these guys have been making good to great albums (25+) for 4 decades.Awesome song.
I have a really weird buddy that LOVES The Church. Anytime he brings them up (or wears their T-shirt which is like often) I will say “Yeah, under the Milky Way is awesome”. And then he will try to bring up whatever else they have done.
I always reply with “Nobody cares, Rob.”
Only thing I don't like about this song is the fade out. I hate fade outs. Figure out how to end your awesome song.
Nobody cares, The Dreaded Marco.I'm Rob, minus the T-shirt. Milky Way is a great song but these guys have been making good to great albums (25+) for 4 decades.
The Unguarded Moment
Almost With You
Two Places At Once
No way some songs should just end, we should just stop listening.Only thing I don't like about this song is the fade out. I hate fade outs. Figure out how to end your awesome song.
