See shuke - yous the anti-K.I guess I'll just hang out here by myself and listen to some music.
I’ll echo the same sentiment here as was mentioned for Depeche Mode671. The Chills - Pink Frost
Really like this sound, but waiting for this to go somewhere and it never does.
Post something better please. I’m not sure I know these guys.I’ll echo the same sentiment here as was mentioned for Depeche Mode
Here are a couple:Post something better please. I’m not sure I know these guys.
Thanks. I don't think I've ever heard any of these others. Like I said in my original post, some of these songs I post may be the only song I know from the artist. So I don't know how "deep" the cut is.Here are a couple:
Complex
Heavenly Pop Hit (so true)
Don’t be Memory (like this one quite a bit)
When the Poor Can Reach the Moon
Purple Girl
My sister just caught their show in LA a few weeks ago. They’re great live.
If you want any of their albums, PM me. I have them available via FTP from home.Thanks. I don't think I've ever heard any of these others. Like I said in my original post, some of these songs I post may be the only song I know from the artist. So I don't know how "deep" the cut is.
lots to pick from here ...

great combo of songs.681. Pure Prairie League - Falling In And Out Of Love/Amie
I know when Tim did his one hit wonder countdown, he went with Amie only, without FIAOOL. That is pure foolishness. This is one song to me.
pretty short list here - they had a pretty good short run though - probably THE best fat, balding, drummer as lead singer band ever.
Like their earlier stuff better like Get the Balance RightI wasn't digging that hard here ..."Personal Jesus" is legendary.
Not a big fan of the stuff that gets usual radio play (School's Out, Eighteen, Nice Guy). I do like Elected. Most of his other stuff doesn't do much for me.lots to pick from here ...
for the uninitiated, lots more.
School's Out (my jr. high summer anthem)
Billion Dollar Babies
I'm Eighteen
Elected
No More Mr. Nice Guy
Under My Wheels
Of course it is. But I want to remind everyone, this is a list of my favorites. I'm not trying to pick what is considered each artist's "best" song.I wasn't digging that hard here ..."Personal Jesus" is legendary.
may I recommend a personal taste coordinator?Of course it is. But I want to remind everyone, this is a list of my favorites. I'm not trying to pick what is considered each artist's "best" song.
Remember when I said I took that horrible John Mayer song in a best/worst of the decade draft? I just remembered that the draft was the best/worst cheesy song of each decade. I took this one, too.
My favorite Jackson 5 is Mama's Pearl. I think it's the mouth-bass solo...by Jermaine? Marlon? Tito? Whatever, it's glorious.
I will fight you. My memory of the Soft Cell version might be tainted (omg see what I did there) by the fact that it was the favorite song of my summer romance partner the summer after my first year of law school. We both worked at the biggest law firm in Louisville, and I remember dancing with him to this song all the time at probably Phoenix Hill Tavern. He was really cute with a great smile and bushy eyebrows.shuke said:

Not ruined. The Staple Singers never could be ruined.657. The Staple Singers - I'll Take You There
Another really great song probably ruined by it's overuse in what feels like 100 different commercials.
Cool strory! Not ruined. The Staple Singers never could be ruined.
And one of my friends got a Grammy for singing backup on Mavis Staples's only Grammy-winning album!
Let's do it.Big night tonight? Let me know if I should drink an iced coffee.
I gAve up on my Diet Coke - now drink'n a cold coffee brew myself.Big night tonight? Let me know if I should drink an iced coffee.
Also, you won't get my next pick until this song is over.Fast Talk by Houses just auto played on Youtube after Darkness and Light. I want to reiterate how good that song is and that it should have been way higher.
Until now the only stuff I knew about John Legend was that he was very pretty and married to someone else very pretty and won a songwriting Oscar with another guy who was even prettier.

No spotlighting. Stay tuned.Don’t mean to spotlight (or maybe I missed it) but you’re going to post the best Comforter song ever, right? Along with the epic video.
