Thanks.  I don't think I've ever heard any of these others.  Like I said in my original post, some of these songs I post may be the only song I know from the artist.  So I don't know how "deep" the cut is.

  saw him years ago at Walnut Hills bar (might have been Sam's) on acid.  It was so crowded all four of us had to bail about half-way through.  Crazy seeing someone like that just a few feet away and no stage - just eye-level.

Way better than Soft Cell remake.  Fight me.

I will fight you.  My memory of the Soft Cell version might be tainted (omg see what I did there) by the fact that it was the favorite song of my summer romance partner the summer after my first year of law school.  We both worked at the biggest law firm in Louisville, and I remember dancing with him to this song all the time at probably Phoenix Hill Tavern.  He was really cute with a great smile and bushy eyebrows.

As I typed this up, it occurred to me that the song in question might instead have been I Melt With You.  Whatever, I'll fight you anyway.

ETA:  omgomgomg, just got to "Tighten Up" and some Josh Ritter, both of which are also on that playlist and I wasn't sure would be here.  Triple yay!

Tighten Up is one of my favorite songs.  It's just him telling all his bandmates to do better.  Such a ####### tight groove.
