I was a KISS Army member during the 70s.434. KISS - I Was Made for Loving You
My hatred for this band is well-documented on this board. But this one is pretty good.
I like this song.
Didn't mean to, I'll fix it.I like this song.
But, did you mean to begin so late in the vid? Maybe the setting is stuck from the last?
Anyways - GOOD!
Awesome song - one of my favorite from the ‘80s.
Unaffectionately known as Kissco.most of it is a very non-Kiss type of song, so that makes sense.
I don't remember much about them - only that they hot and it was the only all-girl band around. A couple of my friends that had a lot more albums than me - had a couple of their albums because they were sweet lookin'. It was crazy that they sounded as good as many of the popular rock groups at the time. Were they even known? How have I never heard of them until a year ago?
I think Danzig is now known as much for getting knocked out by some fan as he is for “Mother”.back of card factoid: Muscle-bound tough guy, Glenn Danzig claims to be 5' 3".
great tune - and there were plenty of them. Back when a lot of mainstream rock had more country/folk influence that we wanted/or cared to admit. Toulouse Street was one of a handful of my first albums and the inside cover substituted for a Playboy magazine.
Seal of approval from Raj, Rerun and Dwayne.
Best part - no one seems fazed much.I think Danzig is now known as much for getting knocked out by some fan as he is for “Mother”.

You just learned from K, that no one would read them.I like how I just post songs and you guys post a bunch of stuff about them. Takes pressure off me from having to have a write-up for every song.
I like this. I know nothing about Lake Street Drive, but Bad Self Portraits are my best friend.
They seemed pretty pumped about it.Best part - no one seems fazed much.
- Also known to demand french onion soup on his rider for his bogus "sore throat" when attempting to get out playing gigs.back of card factoid: Muscle-bound tough guy, Glenn Danzig claims to be 5' 3".
Saw them first on one of those Saturday morning network shows. Couldn’t take my eyes and ears off the lead singer. She is an incredible talent. While I don’t love the genre, she carries that band. They really scratch an itch when I get a hankering for that type of music. A la Christina Perri (who must be appearing on this list soon), kind of a guilty pleasure outside my usually listening sphere (70s prog rock).
sweet - more netflix detective show themes.426. Richard & Linda Thompson - Shoot Out The Lights
Yes, I already posted a Richard Thompson song.
I'll give ya the back a my hand!!!!!424. King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King
I know a lot of music nerds geek out about these guys. I love this song, but haven't really been able to otherwise get into them. Give me something.
Then tape it and post it!
That's pretty awesome. But three drum sets?I'll give ya the back a my hand!!!!!
Seriously: King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man - filmed live in 2015.
10 minute song - yeah - short by Dead standards, but those drummers are getting old and need some help...That's pretty awesome. But three drum sets?
I think MOCS nailed it - but rather than just one song - these guys represent album rock where you just put it on and listen to it as an entire album.424. King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King

vaguely familiar with these guys - loving the 70s psychedelic feel.
cute next door neighbor/best friend's little sister vibe
Wow - another new great one for me. She is not quite in my Deap Vally zone, but still vry nice.
O'course it be Beatles kinda...but I like it.I ####### love this song; wasn't sure it would make your list. My choice for favorite Feelies cover: monkey!
You could hit the trifecta by adding a Fairport Convention song. My favorite from Richard & Linda Thompson. I think.426. Richard & Linda Thompson - Shoot Out The Lights

This is one of those where I don't know which is the song and which is the band name, but I really really want the band name to be Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and if it is they're my favorite band.
Band name always listed first.krista4 said:This is one of those where I don't know which is the song and which is the band name, but I really really want the band name to be Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and if it is they're my favorite band.

my intense love for this song knows ZERO effin' limits ... a Beatlesque romp that should make the Gallagher brothers shook ... bonus points for the stripey shirted geetar man sporting the same pomp hairstyle that i do, though points summarily detracted for him acting the proper ##### foo' in that bathroom scene - meh, #### the vid, the song is quantum #### to the max - R.I.P. Jim Ellison, you left a phenomenal mark here that few could hope to top. just friggin' brilliant.shuke said:

Pat DiNizio lived locally in the next town over so he played a lot of free shows at parks around the area. I went and saw him two summers ago with my dogs at a park and he told some great stories and played a few Smithereens songs but mostly classic rock covers with his band, the Scotch Plainsmen (he lived in Scotch Plains). He was really huge and had to read from lyric sheets for a lot of songs but sounded great. He died a couple of months later, so glad I decided to finally take advantage of him always playing around the area.shuke said:

Streaming services are great in that there’s so much music available at your fingertips - but I often think how the album is a lost art form and it makes me sad. The younger kids, and even my brother in law who is my age, just skip around from song to song or play the “stations” on Amazon while I’m the only one playing albums.Binky The Doormat said:I think MOCS nailed it - but rather than just one song - these guys represent album rock where you just put it on and listen to it as an entire album.
It's a shame that many people younger than 30 or so probably never really listened to albums all the way through - and certainly not as a regular practice. There are so many deep cuts we all love here because you heard them as part of an album. Think of the amount of times you hear a song and you automatically know what's coming next because of listening to the album as a whole for years.
This is one of those songs that feels twice as long as it is.shuke said:434. KISS - I Was Made for Loving You
