thatThat's Entertainment is better
As i mentioned earlier in the thread, I love the "Mod Father."
Weller deserves his own wing in the R n' R HOF Love this tune. Great FFA comment was about Rod Stewart and Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood jamming on this live.
Nice pick. Not my favorite of theirs, but musically, this is a beautiful song.
awesome song.
Saw them at Metro in Chicago in the late 80s. Harriet Wheeler was pretty cute.
they still have that thick cut bacon on a stick ...and those korean turkey meatballs?Just a little taste. Off to Kings Island. See you guys tonight.
They have a strong guilty pleasure vibe here and there.239. Coldplay - Speed of Sound
This band gets a lot of hate around these parts. At least I know @General Malaise is a fan.
Here's a great song I have not heard in years: Borstal BoysLove this tune. Great FFA comment was about Rod Stewart and Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood jamming on this live.
"Check out when Rod realizes he's lost his guitar player" went the comment. The FFA was really good for music back in that era, too.
I've never seen nor heard of these. Was the last time you went in the 70's?they still have that thick cut bacon on a stick ...and those korean turkey meatballs?
I just don't know anymore man ....I've never seen nor heard of these. Was the last time you went in the 70's?
I have no doubt he has had this all perfectly mapped out from post 1. Don’t worry. Are there more than 100 choices between 299 and 200? Feels like we’ve been here awhile. Hitting some really good stuff though.
Of course.Do I need to Hipple here? A bit tipsy after a hell week.
I just lit up so let's do this.A bit tipsy after a hell week.
80s joke alert: What’s worse than sweat on Olivia Newton John?284. Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
While in college, seems like when this song ever came on everyone started dancing. And by dancing, I mean just jumping around with beer getting spilled everywhere.
This album is where I realized I do not like AC/DC. In jr hi everybody LOVED Black in Black. I tried to get into them. I think I faked it for a while. I got whatever album this is on from Columbia House. That’s when I discovered every AC/DC song is 90% like the rest of their songs. Pretty sure I still owe Columbia House $11.283. AC/DC - For Those About To Rock
For Those About to Rock We Salute You is one of those cassettes I wore out on my walkman doing my paper route.
Agreed
Paul Collings wrote this song after watching his wife drown in a pool with Rod Stewart. 100% true.
LOVE early REM. Like first 3.5 albums.260. REM- Don't Go Back To Rockville
Also considered: Radio Free Europe
Changed my mind a dozen times on which song to pick. This is what sounds better tonight.
Was. Older stuff fine; would have opted for several others over this one.239. Coldplay - Speed of Sound

Good call. Reminds me of Kings of Leon in that respect.Was. Older stuff fine; would have opted for several others over this one.
Their newer stuff is so bad I want to renounce my past fondness for them. His superbowl performance was cringeworthy.
What happened to him? He was the kind of king of indie music for a minute and totally disappeared.Yea that's really good. Also really like Re: Stacks from that album.
good choice.260. REM- Don't Go Back To Rockville

No idea. I thought they took a hiatus but checking wiki it looks like they've still been touring. What happened to him? He was the kind of king of indie music for a minute and totally disappeared.
Need a @Nipsey karaoke for this one.229. Cranberries - Dreams
This becomes an earworm every time I hear it. No matter what else I listen to tonight, I'll be hearing this in my head for a week.
It would have taken a lot of bravery not to pick zombie but it would have taken an act of god to have not picked dreams229. Cranberries - Dreams

One of my favorites. So many great songs, including this one.
