A-yo, we at the weedgate, waiting for Jake

We want eight ravioli bags,

Two thirsty villians yelling bellyaches

Heavyweight rhyme writers,

Hitting the grass that's the ripest

I'm about to visit my cousin in a little while.

He has the ripest.

Nice, he has some carry out? I was just looking at some purple punch.
He had to adjust his stock this past month. All high $$$$.

He is digging thru his stock for a THC/CBD strain, but I am not sure if it is available.

He did warn me though that everything is a heavy hitter.

I said, "bring it on!"

😎

purple punch

Looks good. I forgot, but you don't have any dispensaries in your area yet - do you?

84. Red House Painters - Golden

I'm a huge fan of Mark Kozelek.  I could listen to him sing all day.
Very nice. This is new to me.

83. Beach Boys - God Only Knows

Not really a BB fan, but this song is incredible.
Man, I really love this song.

Like,  don't love, God Only Knows. For me, it's Sloop John B or Good Vibrations.  The sound of Sloop John B resonates strongest with me, but Good Vibrations is a tour de force of talent.
But, both Sloop John B & Good Vibrations are just a tad higher for me.

And I think we can all agree on the greatest Bowie song.  There's only one 1A.

You nailed 1B!

My favorite Bowie tune, not to be confused with his best, is Width of a Circle.

I watched this performance on Don Kirchner (iirc) circa 1973 on my cheesy black and white TV (I was wealthy back in the day). Made me the person I am today.

Rest up and come back even stronger tomorrow night......

87. Van Halen - I'll Wait

I stated earlier that Pyromania was the first album I owned. But this was the second and possibly the first I purchased with my own money.  I had this on vinyl and by the time I was 16 probably everything else they ever did on cassette.  A lot of great songs, but unfortunately it's just a band I grew out of.  Sidenote:  when I DJ'ed in high school, I ended every broadcast with this, followed by _____________ by [artist to be named later].

This won't be a popular song choice or location, but, you know what's happening here by now.
I do like this song, but I am more a fan of the early stuff.

I believe their debut album Van Halen is one of the greatest rock albums ever released.

1."Runnin' with the Devil"

2."Eruption"

3."You Really Got Me" Ray Davies

4."Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love"

5."I'm the One"

6."Jamie's Cryin'"

7."Atomic Punk"

8."Feel Your Love Tonight"

9."Little Dreamer"

10."Ice Cream Man"John Brim"

11."On Fire*"
Two other older cuts I like a lot are:

Van Halen II - D.O.A.

Babe, I'm alone
And I'm on the highway
Wanted dead or alive
Dead or alive

I'm gone woo yeah
Baby, let me run
I'm a spark on the horizon

Van Halen - Take Your Whiskey Home

Some goes to women, some goes to Jesus,
Though I'm absolutely certain both's all right
But it takes me at least halfway to the label
'Fore I can even make it through the night

Well, I think that you're headed for a whole lot of trouble
Yeah, yeah I think that you're headed for a whole lot of trouble
Baby yeah, I think that you're headed for some trouble
If you take your whiskey home

This reminded me of a song from when I was little. I sure hope this is not a spotlight:

One Tin Soldier - The Original Caste

I have no clue where I picked it up, cause I never owned the album and have not heard it since I was a kid.
You're old....you probably took the first seat cover you pinned to the flickorama to peep "Billy Jack" and wound up pitching some woo during the opening credits while it was playing, or somethin' like that.

God Only Knows is the best Beach Boys song, and it’s not even close.*

*Ok, kinda close.
I gave this a thinking emoji and thinking about giving it another thinking emoji.

This is about as right as one can be. What if you've played that song out, though, and want to hear something off of Today! or Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!)

A whole lot of right in this post.

"I'm on the run babe  hoo yeah" doesn't do it for you?
the right inflection and tone can sell anything I suppose

I might say James Brown live in concert shouting

Come on, up and down and
Round and round, up and down, all around
Right on people, huh, let it all hang out

might beat out any Dylan lyric
