Is it shallow of me to assume that, based solely on his name, Blake Bortles has as much chance of becoming a successful NFL QB as Blaine Gabbert? If so, it would make perfect sense for him to end up with the Browns.

Eight WRs and 3 TEs - never happen.

man if one more QB slips into the top 5, Atlanta could still get either Clowney or Matthews. a guy can dream...

Here's the important thing to know about Bortles...http://m.ibtimes.com/meet-lindsey-duke-blake-bortles-girlfriend-deserves-6-million-googles-central-florida-coach-george
He's a lock! We all know what having hot girlfriends did for the pro careers of Cade McNown and Jan Vesely.

I shudder deep down inside every time I see 1.2 (from Washington) Rams - Jadeveon Clowney. Dealing with Quinn and Clowney twice a year seems hopeless.

I understand how a Seahawk fan would fear that scenario. As a football fan, I'd love to see a re-birth of the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse. That would be awesome. But as a Russel Wilson owner, not so much.

Having said that, it seems the Rams are putting out feelers to trade out of the 2nd pick so it doesn't appear that will happen.

On a totally different note, TFY Draft Insider just posted a top-ten projection today by Troy Pauline.

evans before watkins.. interesting

I like that Pauline didn't blindly draft a QB for the Vikings. At this point, we don't know who will be coaching the Vikings and both Kevin Williams and Jared Allen are free agents. They could be going to 34 or hybrid defense type defense. I also think that there is enough quality at the top of the draft that another team could trade up for a player like Barr. Quality OLBs are very sought after. Both Dion Jordon and Mingo went top 10 last year.

And here is the latest USA Today mock draft.

They have consistently been putting out mocks every week of the NFL season and you can see the links at the bottom of the linked page to see how they have changed over the course of the year so I think this is an interesting mock to follow because you know it will change over time as things develop and they note the developments at the bottom of the page as to why each week's mock has changed.

*Draft order was determined by current record, playoff results and strength of schedule. The slotting for the Cowboys and the Ravens was decided by a coin flip due to identical records and opponent strength of schedules.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The mock draft was adjusted due to Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu’s decision to return to Eugene for his senior campaign.

I'm not seeing a TE to Buffalo that high. That seems insane. Especially when you consider that just about every dominant NFL TE was either picked much later than that or an UDFA.

I think WR or LB is the pick for Buffalo.

I have seen a few mocks with the Panthers taking Brandin Cook. I dont recall ever seeing him play but his stats are pretty crazy but he is not very big. Do any homers or anyone who has seen Cook know if the stats are the result of the offense or is he really that good.

5'10 190 seems a bit small

If Ted Thompson takes a TE over guys like Beasley, Dennard and even Nix...Ill eat my Rodgers jersey.

Just don't see him going TE that high ever...or even offense in the first unless its a "can't miss" Olineman. Which is not likely drafting where they are.

I keep hoping somehow Ha-Ha falls to them.

Blake Bortles reminds me of Jake Locker, just don't think he's ready to be thrust into the NFL day 1 which a Top 10 pick will have to be.

If they go 3-4 they are going to need a lot of LBs...

So lazy to have 3 QB in the top 4. It's the "easy" way to mock draft because teams need QB, but it never actually happens. Far be it for these guys to put some actual thought into the process.

May just be my sour attitude, but I dont think any QB in this draft holds a lick to Mariota... wouldnt want to draft any of these QBs anywhere near the top.

Hope the Browns pass and make a run for Mariota next season

I want the Ravens to draft Sammy Watkins sooo bad.
That would be interesting to see a team with two of the exact same WRs opposite each other.
What? Torry is a burner, not a natural catcher of the football and an average at best route runner. Watkins to me seems to excel in route running and catches the ball as well as anybody I've seen. Granted I'm not Mel or anything.
Almost every comparison I've seen is that Watkins is Torrey Smith. I'm sure they have some differences though, but for the most part many people are comparing the two similarly. I wasn't criticizing as I really think that would be interesting to see.
