Sibling Rivalry. (1 Viewer)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Sinorice Moss never had to look farther than the other end of the dinner table to find a football role model.Moss' older brother, Santana, was a star wide receiver at the University of Miami whose success has continued in the NFL with the New York Jets and Washington Redskins. As the New York Giants' No. 2 draft pick, the younger Moss is eager to follow in his brother's footsteps while also carving out his own niche at wideout.Sinorice - pronounced Sin-ORR-iss - is used to the inevitable comparisons and says he's not fazed by them. "It really doesn't bother me. We're going to be compared no matter what," he said. "Santana is Santana and I'm Sinorice, and all I can do is go out and play the best football I can."He had a tremendous influence on everything I did as far as playing football. He taught me a lot of stuff that helped me make it to where I am today."He has a large task to duplicate his brother's achievements. Santana was an All-American at Miami and holds the school record with 2,546 yards receiving from 1997-2000. In his last three seasons in the NFL, he has caught 203 passes for 24 touchdowns. In contrast, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound Sinorice started only 12 games with the 'Canes and caught 63 passes for 1,046 yards."His brother was on a team that had a little better passing attack," Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi said. "He didn't get that chance as much. But he is an explosive, high-speed, tough receiver. He is just not real big. Normally you like big receivers, but you don't want to sacrifice speed and game-breaking ability."Despite his lack of size or superstar-level numbers, the Giants felt highly enough about Moss that they traded up in the second round to take him with the 44th overall pick, envisioning him as a No. 3 wide receiver behind Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer. The Giants don't lack speed at the position, only consistency. Incumbent Tim Carter has had a succession of lower leg problems the last few seasons, and David Tyree has turned into a Pro Bowl special teams player and is entrenched in that role."I feel I can fit in as a No. 3 receiver, a slot receiver, and stretch the field," Moss said. "I feel like I'm a fast learner."

Sinorice landing in NY with Manning could lead to big things for him, fantasy-wise. Not that Redskins-Giants games need extra reasons to watch, but this could be fun for many years.
