Yesterday it was in the mid 20's as I started my commute home.  The wind was howling.  A line of snow squalls had moved in an hour earlier and we had and inch of fresh snow and it was snowing hard.  I look over and running on the sidewalk was a male, 30ish in shorts, no shirt, no hat, no gloves, with black knee high socks.  He was holding an old school Walkman like the kind I had in 1986.    Some will remember those cassette players in the safety yellow color.

It was a "what the heck" moment.

Full disclosure, this may be me in about 9 hours. I'm having an internal debate on 30 and snow vs 20 and near 0 wind chill tomorrow. Shorts and knee high socks are the norm but hat and gloves are a must, so that rules me out of being this particular culprit. I did go without a shirt earlier this winter though - I forgot to lube up pre-run and I realized I was nearing the bloody nipple point of no return. The net several what the heck looks from passer-by's.

I have one better than the Walkman.   Not commuting, but see it every day from my front porch during the summer..

Old guy going for a nightly walk and he carries a small silver boombox type radio with headphones plugged into it (not earbuds, big headphones).  And he wears a headband.
