Thought #1 - "separate" doesn't mean much. It doesn't say Divorce. Marge has briefly kicked Homer out before.

Thought #2 -- shouldn't Lena dunham stick to keeping her own show terrible? no need to expand, toots.

I'm more disappointed at the first one. I've always thought that's how the series should (mercifully) end.

The second one is only disappointing in that the actress sucks.

#1 - Not upset at all...think it's a great idea.

#2 - Very upsetting...there's no signifier as to who did the deed. I could assume Homer...but then again, anything is possible with that trog Lena Dunham.

and yet, 30 years after it started, we still watch. Part of the reason I watch is to screen episodes before my 12yo son watches them as he loves the show but it's not always appropriate for him.
