LOL, Tim told Pat he wouldnt be doing any trades in this mock draft. I also think they are doing 2 rounds today and are gonna do 15 picks per hour.

Lions taking Mendenhall

In a way, this mock sucks. Buffalo and Chicago come out looking like major chumps, they could trade down 10 spots each and get the same player in all liklihood. Not too hot on the NO pick either, otherwise, it's not horrible.

They come out looking like chumps why? Because they do things a little different? If they stuck with the same mock every time, what fun would that be?

I disagree. Brohm was a top 3 pick this time last year. Why would he have fallen? Im sure Bears fans would be happy with this. Now they dont have to rely on Rexy...
Im a Bear fan and would throw my shoe at the tv if they wasted this pick on Brohm. Get help on the line first, then worry about qb. Plus, Brohm just isnt that good.

No kidding...Try doing 5+ mocks that gotta be different and spark debate/conversation on a talk show.

Well, you (Bears fans) sure havent been saying that the past several years. Brohm isnt that good? What facts do you have that say he isnt "good"?

Well, Chicago comes out looking like chumps because they could trade their pick, move down and get the same guy and pick up a 2nd rounder in the process. Therefore they look like chumps.

So you're saying they are just doing these mocks to spark debate/conversation. Sounds very childish, maybe they should preface their mocks with an announcement "We are just playing a game, we don't believe anything we are about to say, but we wanna get the crowd riled up".

A crystal ball reader eh? Im not saying they will draft him, but to get what they would be drafting as a franchise QB to replace Rex will certainly help them. Do they need OL help? Sure. But theyve been hurting at QB a lot longer than OL.

I dont want it to sound like I dislike Brohm, because I dont. Ive seen alot of him and he never jumped out as being a sure-thing in the NFL. I prefer a bigger arm also. He will struggle fitting the ball into tight spots with that arm.Seems like he has the head for the position though, which is half the battle.Just not the right pick for the Bears in this spot. The o-line problems are in code red right now.

You are missing the point. Why would they not trade down, that is my point.

Heres a thought... If you dont like the idea of doing a MOCK draft, then dont click the thread that says " Sirius NFL Radio Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwin Mock Draft 3 4/4/08"

Because when a team sees a talent they WANT, they get it. Can they trade down? Sure. But trading down is gambling. Im a Bills fan, and theyve had questionable picks in the past, but looking back, I dont regret them taking anyone they have taken in round 1 since Mike Williams. Eww.... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little...

Wait a second, you want them to spark debate/conversation. So when I debate, you wanna shut me down? Show some consistency. :link:

You've got to have another team willing to give up alot to trade up with you. You dont just snap your fingers and say, "I want to trade down", and have a bunch of teams lining up.

Im not shutting you down. Ill go at it all day. One thing they are doing with the mock is giving reasons why they are taking each pick. That info isnt given here. If I could type that fast, Id post their thoughts... They have more than one valid point on each pick. Chicago QBs on the current roster only have 1 year contracts. Yeah if they want, they can extend Rex, but would YOU do that?

I love guys like this.Let me explain something to you, these guys do a radio show for 20 hours a week. They talk about one subject and thats NFL football. They are on the radio to entertain their listeners, if people do not listen and call they wont have jobs. They do mock drafts to entertain these listeners, there is a reason they are going to do 5+ mocks see if you can figure out why.

 JA really screwed up on this one. A guy who got so cought up on taking the BPA for years has now locked himself into taking an OL in rd 1 regardless of what else is on the board.

Yup. Very annoying, although it seems like this is a good year to have that problem
