Agreed - I'd like to see the Browns sport the orange pants, the Chiefs in their red pants, but the Vikings can take those purple pants and give them back to the florist they bought them from.

I think they tried but the florist has a strict no refund policy.

Too bad Tampa doesen't wear hazard orange anymore. That really stood out.

Cleveland's orange pants with the brown jerseys were a great look -- think Brian Sipe. :D And it should go without saying that the Rams should NEVER have scrapped these duds!

The Browns uni's show how earth tones can go bad. I thought i'd say, go with Brown pants and orange shirts but I don't know how the orange shirt and orange helme would go together. But the orange pants? :X :X :X hey RN, is that NFL Sunday Ticket pic one from your personal crib? If so, got a roundabout price for all of that? And lastly, can I hang out at your house till I can get the dough to get the same thing.?   SWEET!!!

Yeah, it's right here next to me. I built a little box which raises the two TVs on top of the big screen to the level of the two on the upper left and right. Now I just gota get a price from a woodworker to make me a one piece dilly so that all you see is screens. I'll try to take a new pic at kickoff tomorrow. 1:00 kickoff is really the only time that all 9 screens have action. Although now that I think of it, there are only 8 games at 1:00 tomorrow due to the byes. Okay if I put the Playboy channel on the other set? :D I forget the exact price of the setup... it's been so long. The 20" TVs were $150 each or so, and I got #8 for free after buying the first seven. Once you buy the TVs and the Directv receivers, the only overhead is the $5/mo. that each extra receiver costs. It was surprisingly affordable.

I want to see JB's setup. His opening line in Random Shots says that he sits down in front of "multiple BIG screens".... That I gotta see. Then I'll have to find a way to one-up him.

I read that Joe Gibbs started going with them after they went on their winning streak at the end of last season. Kind of a good luck thing. But they lost in the playoffs last season wearing those? :loco:

On the ninth set, fine by me. :D And I drink Beck's, is that fine by you? Just let me know if you want something different, I'll be over at 12:55. :D

It was actually before that. Begining of last year, or the year before I can't remember. I kind of liked them the first time because it was so different. It's really starting to get old....

I think they started wearing them during the win streak, not after. So they just kept wearing them. The theory is that while wearing white, perspiration reacts chemically with mud and crowd noise, making them 2.32% faster than their opponents. It's call footbosynthesosmosis. Glad to help.

This is true. I actually think this was first done during the Spurrier (aka "The Coach Whose Name We Do Not Speak) years IIRC. It probably makes sense when you're the visiting team in a warm venue during the early part of the season, but it did come to be seen as a good luck charm during the late-year run last season. Personally, too have always liked the white on burgundy look though.

I'd also like to see them, just for fun, go old school with the red on yellow look. Classic.

I think football is the only place where men can discuss what other men are wearing and have it not be considered gay.

On that note, the real travesty is the new Minnesota uniforms.
