Sleeper IDPs to look for? (1 Viewer)

I am in a few 14/16 team IDP leagues with deep rosters. Some of them are opening waivers soon or having a draft soon.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to focus too much on football last season so I am out of the loop.

I am looking for some sleeper IDPs that might be getting in line for a starting gig this season that might still be lingering on the waiver wire. Thought others might have the same question, so figured I'd start a thread looking for lists of sleeper/undervalued IDPs for the 2007 season....

Can you post a link so we can see who is on your WW? Is it individual positions (DE/DT/LB/CB/S) or they broken into (DL/LB/DB)?

I can throw some of each out for you:

DL's:

Bobby Mcray Jags

Aaron Schobel Bills

Ty Warren Pats

Mark Anderson Bears

LB's

Keith Ellison Bills

Omar Gaither Philly

Ahmad Brooks Cincy

Leon Williams Clev

Karlos Dansby Zona

Darryl Blackstock Zona

Brandon Moore 9er's

DB's

Sean Jones Clev

Chris Hope Ten

Oshiomogho Atogwe Rams

Donte Whitner Bills

Dawan Landry Ravens

Sean Considine Philly

Not all of these guys are going to be considered "sleepers", but they may still be around because they are not as well known. Without seeing the league and knowing the rules, it hard to say who will be there, I am in a 32 team keeper league with full IDP, and all these guys are off the boards, but several were picked as WW/free agent moves.

Best of Luck.

I am in a 16 team league with deep rosters and all of the above were drafted! None to be found on our waiver wire. You might find them on a 14 team league.

Oh, you mean deep sleepers.

Cedric Griffin, MIN CB - He's a good fit for cover 2 and should be a starter from the get go this year.

Dwayne White, DET DE just moved from TBB where he plattoned. He should be looking for a huge bump in points.

Pick up Jamar Williams CHI LB until the Briggs thing is sorted out. If Briggs moves on, Williams' value will soar.

Jimmy Williams is ATL CB but I saw a couple comments that he may be moved to safety.

I assume Keiaho is already gone, otherwise someone needs to replace June.

NYG have Wilkinson waiting to take over at WLB, but it was surprising that he didn't get much chance to play last year even with the injuries they had at LB.

I would assume both Wilhelm and Cooper, SDC LB are gone, otherwise they'll be the ILB's this year. Dobbins might be a deep sleeper as backup to these two.

Kalimba Edwards will be the other DE in DET. I keep waiting for him to break out.

Travis Laboy in TEN won the starting DE position last year but injuries bothered him all year. He was also in a platoon with Odom.

Lehman may have been dropped and he's supposed to man the middle in DET.

Tulloch in TEN looks like he might start in the middle.

Buf CB Youboty looks to start this year in their cover 2.

Tapp, SEA DE looks to platoon with Fisher and will be a valuable injury replacement for Kearney.

If Blackstock is on a roster, most of these guys won't be available either.

Along with some of the names already mentioned, here are a few others sleepers.

Cullen Jenkins - Solid player...won't be spectacular, but could be good by week filler.

Matt Roth - Will start for Mia next year. Very active and should produce solid stats.

Robert Geathers - Good pass rusher and should be full time starter this year.

Andre Carter - Might not be available, but had a down year due to position change, but could post alot better #s this year.

Bradie James - #'s should get better in W. Phillips 3-4.

Greg Ellis - Injured most of last year so off the radar, but in W. Phillips 3-4, could put up decent stats.

James Harrison - Joey Porter gone. Harrison steps in and is probably best pass rusher on team

Jarret Johnson - Adailus Thomas gone. Johnson will step in. Not as good as Adalius, but should produce

James Anderson - should win the WLB spot in Carolina. That alone makes him worht rostering.

Leon Williams - Could win a starting ILB spot in Cleveland. Very athletic and can make plays.

Keith Lewis - Showed last half of last year that he can produce for FF. ?'s about his starting status though.

Jarred Page & Bernard Pollard - Should both be starting safeties for KC next year. I prefer Page for playmaking ability.

Deion Grant - Now starting safety in Seattle. Should produce good #'s.

Roman Harper - Before injury last year he was putting up some legit #'s. Should be back as starting SS this year.

Is Banta-Cain gone?Mike Doss?
I am not a real fan of Banta-Cain....I think he could get a sacks once in awhile, but don't see him being a consistent tackler from week to week. M. Doss could have some value, but until we know where he lands, we just don't know. Currently been offered a contract by Philly, but could end up on the bench there. Dawkins is the man, and they seem to like S. Considine....although I personally would prefer Doss starting at SS.

Philly has denied the interest in Doss, FWIW.

Honestly I am not surprised thats what their saying considering he "supposedly" turned the offer down.

Greg Blue Safety for Minny could be a sleeper also.

Anthony Maddox DT for the Texans who was a walk on last year out played all the DT's on the squad and most likely will be the starter this year.

Gerald Sensabaugh Safety for the Jags could be a starter this year.
