Sloppy field in WAS...Saints will be in long cleats (1 Viewer)

Per NFL N...clear day, but the field apparently is soft. Payton says Saints will be in long cleats.

How does bad footing affect teams?

I'm sure the Redskins staff intentionally let the field get sloopy too. Smart decision.
staff had nothing to do with it, NFLN showed the the field had been covered with a tarp for the past few days and it was just taken off this morning. slow field helps reduce speed on offense but sloppy field hurts defense as long as its not a swamp/monsoon(where nobody has advantage)bad field does usually give advantage to offense as pass rush is slowed and like another posted said offensive players know where they are going/know where cuts are taking them..............defense is all reaction or breaking off of offensive movement.

Dammit. Wrestling between going with S. Moss for Wash or R. Bush for NO in a flex spot (14 team league, thin at flex). This info doesn't help. I have Moss in for now, but with Bell & Thomas dinged, and the strength of the Saints D, I can't imagine Moss doing much on a wet track.

How do you consider Bell and Thomas dinged and not Bush who hasn't played in how many weeks because he is dinged?

Just looking at NO RB's, this benefits Bell. Thomas and especially Bush rely upon making moves in the open field whereas Bell is a hammer.

Bell may be a sneaky play today assuming he is healthy enough to go.

I don't own either of them and think Bush may see a swing pass or three out of the backfield if they split things among the 3. I was merely saying that Bush could hawk some carries &/or receptions from both. No arguing that Bush is "dinged". I also think Moss' value is lessened on a slow and sloppy field.

What kind of implications do you think these conditions have for IDP? I have London Fletcher, for example, but am worried about missed tackles.

Sorry for the AC-like post, but I also have Session, Beason, and Willis, and am having trouble sticking Fletcher in there... :D
