Small Claims Court help. Please. (1 Viewer)

It is a business to business case.   Work was done where I am at, NC.   The company is incorporated in NV, I have the registered agents address.   He lives in San Diego, CA.   His address is a mailbox/post office place.    Where you would try to serve them at?   I could probably track down his home address if I needed too.   TIA.

Also, would certified or registered mail do the trick?

Hmm.  Small claims court?  How about you just punch yourself in the nuts and call it a day.  That is about the equivalent of what you will get when all is said and done.

Rather spend the 5k on an attorney than letting that scumbag have it.  Hell, I had the sheriff go to someones home to take property to auction on a 500.00 claim.

If the company did business in your state, you can probably bring the action in your state.  Service at any business address in state or out.  Service is just notice and an order to reply or be defaulted.

If he did the work in NC he should have a registered agent there. If he wasn't registered to do business in NC then I suppose you need to use NV.
