I, and a group of my NFL-obsessed friends, are ready to take the next step and start our own dynasty league. The problem becomes, that there just aren't the numbers of people with the dedication required to run a long-term dynasty franchise here in my neck of the Great White North. I've thought about a number of different formats for a 4 or 5 person league, but haven't been able to come up with anything particularly good.

How have others come up with ways to make a league functional, balanced and fun with so few owners?

How have others come up with ways to make a league functional, balanced and fun with so few owners?

Options:1. If not many players (or odd number), make it a survivor league

2. Make it an online (8 team) league with two divisions, one from your area, one from another area, and have the division winners play in the super bowl.

3. If only a 4 team league, I think you should start a TON of players. Something like 3 QB, 8 RBs, 8 WRs, 4 TEs, 4 k, and 4 d just to get away from it being an allstar game each week.

Make it 10 man dynasty. Host it on a year round site. And invite people from the forum. Making it $25-$50 to keep people playing hardcore. You'll have no trouble filling the slots with strangers, and it would be fun to meet some new people.

If anyone quits, its pretty easy to fill dynasty slots, no matter how bad the team is.
