I smoke the occasional cigar and found myself hiding it from my kids early on.
I usually smoke when they are off to bed outside on the porch, a few times they have came out to ask me for a bedtime story or to tuck them in and have caught me or have smelled me after a cigar an asked if i was smoking.
They (9 & 6)eventually caught on and asked why am I smoking "smoke sticks" or will say they heard in school you will die if you smoke etc...
When they ask why O just tell them it's something adults do and trying not to feel like too much of a hypocrite i told them to promise they wouldn't try it until they were 18
Do you regular smokers hide it from your kids? What do you tell them when they ask about it?
