We're really looking forward to figuring out neat things to do with snap count data, like analyzing tackles per snap or pass targets per snap. Eventually this data should be totaled up and available in the stats section on NFL.com, but until then, we'll also total the snap counts each week and put up tables here on Football Outsiders for readers to see absolutely free.

:excited:

Pro Football Focus has been publishing this data for a few years (based on their own count, rather than an official NFL count). The detailed data are behind a paywall, but they also have freely-available articles based on the data like this one on yards per route run.

Here's a site that posts the snap count totals for free. Pretty cool setup.

2012 Snap Count Totals
Thank you for posting this, it is a cool set-up and free is good. They do need to add a couple things though, like total offensive plays would be good in the snap count one and total targets accumulated in the targets one. You can add them up obviously, but a running total would be good especially with targets. Just my :2cents:
