So how much longer before Penningbum gets the hook (1 Viewer)

As a Thomas Jones owner, I'm hoping he gets benched sooner rather than later. I don't know if would help TJ's value but at this point it sure as heck can't hurt it.

As a Cotchery owner, the sooner they bench him the better.
 Every time I see one of Pennington's ducks get intercepted, I wonder just what "Mangenius" is thinking. Pennington's spaghetti arm makes the field about 10 yards narrower and 30 yards shorter for the offense to operate. Defenses don't really have to worry about the sidelines because Chad can't get it there. He can have all the moxie in the world and understand what a defense is going to do very well, but it doesn't matter because he doesn't have the physical tools to take advantage of it. The Jets are 1-4 and I can't imagine, given the role Pennington's turnovers have played in their recent losses, that Clemens won't see the field after another loss or two. They've got Philly, Cincinnati, Buffalo, and Washington in the next 4 games, and it's not too much of a stretch to see them going 1-3 through those games. You would think at 2-7, the Jets would want to see Clemens there full-time.

Just a hunch, but I think that if Chad struggles out of the gate against the Eagles, Clemens takes over when they come out of the tunnel in the second half.

What happens thereafter is anyone's guess, the more the team falls out of it, the easier it is for Mangini to make a switch.

1-3??I see 2-2 at worst1. Philly at home(McNabb will have flashbacks of the G-Men all over him)2. At Cincy - probably cant put up enough points to keep up with them, but their D is just about as bad as ours lately, anything can happen...hell Cleveland beat them.3. Buffalo at home (Buff. is not near the same team they are at home as they are on the road.)4. Washington at home, last I check Joe Gibbs was still calling plays and usung terrible clock management- not quite a shoe-in for a W or L.Jets can go 3-1 over the next 4 weeks, be 4-5 and still have an outside chance for a wild card spot.Yes, i'm a :homer: , but I'm not ready to give the team to Clemens just yet...Chad still has a little magic left.

Pennington was 20-27 for 224 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs against the Bengals in '04, as the Jets scored 31 points.I'd be surprised if he didn't carve up that defense again. He does very well against bad defenses.
