So hungover this morning I accidently wore two different shoes (1 Viewer)

I'm kinda 50/50 on him being real or schtick.

I think he does have problems but plays them up more than they are because he is bored and likes to mess with people for attention.

Trying to get attention over and over is one sure sign of a cry for help. Seriously. I know ff hasn't started yet but are there no other threads of interest here?

If anything this should teach all of us the real problems in healthcare. Those that really need it have a tough time getting it. I'm not sure TX still has extended Medicaid- thought I read they cut it. Won't hurt for him to look into it. And with this heartless administration who couldn't find something better than the ACA to now just want to repeal it and throw not just the poor and the sick off but those who are working but still need help, it's going to get worse. People need treatment whether for a physical issue or mental, not to be cast aside. I hope RNR is on the horn to those clinics I linked to get in somewhere. If not, the info is still here.

What you and others have done is admirable for sure and is of real value to those that need and want it. To the cry for help you must miss the regular trolls that have from through the FFA over the years. RNR is one of those.

How do you know it's all troll? No one knows but him. The stories may be as people with MI can develop delusions. If someone says suicide you need to err on the fact it could be serious. He's been in a psych ward before. The way he described it is correct. The fact is if you've ever been commited that the chances are higher you'll be back in. People in there ask newbies what does this visit bring you up to. I mean wow.

Psych wards aren't designed to treat the illness. It's designed to get you stabilised with meds, getting you to sleep, not being of harm to yourself or others, eating-- the basics to live. The goal is to get you out and to treatment with a psychiatrist and a therapist. When I was helping my cousin they wouldn't d/c her until we showed she has a psych and a therapist appt.

As for those who are 50/50... 50/50 on the stories, 100% on being disturbed in some manner. I don't know how you can't agree on the latter.

here is the thing rnr about five or six title changes ago was asking for help with a papershaker he was takin out on a date and i offered up panara as an option and fact is i like the joint and know a few tricks about the place that the average joe might not know so i shared them and it sort of took off like the new chipotlay chicken avacodo melt and so now this thread also has parnera talk in it in the spirit of people trying to change in here we are all just going to have to learn to get along under this umbrella it is what it is and this is the new america take that to the bank bromigo

I agree.  I'm going to back out of this thread.  Rok, I wish you the best.  Dark times don't have to last.  There is light.  Reach out and get whatever help you need.  Many of us have been harsh based on our perceived lack of inertia on your side.  But none of us walk in your shoes.  Best of luck.  We're pulling for you.

 
Easy diagnosis: selfish, frantic, lazy, some of each of which RnR may have turned into pathologies. None of RnR's problem's, however, are in his mind but in his will. 

Presciption: care outside himself for one second.

ETA: This is my diagnosis of about 40% of people i've encountered in the last 10 yrs. The pros mistakenly identify a lot of this as Borderline Personality Disorder, but it ain't.

hey just so that this is said i just like joking around about parena and some of the tricks i have posted are legitimate and if rnr needs help he should go right on and get it as quick as possible and i wish you the best brohan get better and come back stronger take that to the bank

Society is indeed trending en masse toward many of the benchmarks of Borderline Personality Disorder, with what i diagnose, as with RnR, as "SFL". I saw real BPD close up in my years in adolescent psych and can see why the know-nothings use it as a catch-all, but i saw BPD, metaphorically, as tiger kittens who take the wrestling seriously and lose the ability to distinguish life from fight. In the general public, there's not the will to fight, which disqualifies it. WHOLE LOT of passive-aggression out there but, with BPD, the fight is elemental, the P-A a staging device.

We've all heard the schtick/troll angle. Like I said even if all the stories are, how is sitting here all day going from a high to the deepest low normal? I'm guessing bipolar. He reminds me a lot of giants fan from FFT. Had some stories to tell. Most if not all were obviously schtick. Calling him out on it didn't help and over there you get 0 help, just mocked. He admitted he was bipolar and was off his meds. Not saying this is the case here, but clearly something is not right and the schtick/troll part if true shouldn't be the focus here.

I have a second cousin who called me telling me my dad is ok. In her mind he was off fighting in the Iraq/Iran war. He was sitting right next to me. DX: bipolar. Got treatment and is on meds. Built her life back up from 0 and is doing ok today.

in the interest of you having complete knowledge of the person you are dealing with, Rok has had about 6 different usernames on these boards and he has been around for quite a few years. 

one of his early personas in the FFA admitted to having been giants fan from FFT.

No need to go on. I don't think I have any you already listed.

Since as long as I could remember I lived in fear. Fear from my parents. Fear of poverty and homelessness. Fear of teachers and other students. There was violence and insecurity at home. Violence at school and the playground because of my Tourette syndrome.

By the time I hit puberty it became apparent to me that I was a loser among my peers. Those that did spend time with me only did so because I was willing to humiliate myself further for a laugh. I was just something to be kicked around for further amusement.

By the time I was 15 I dropped out of school and hid in my home. Sometimes not ever going outside for weeks at a time, only occupying my mind with music, books and video games. I was afraid of society and I tried to pretend it didn't exist. When I was kicked out on my own at 18 I had no idea how to take care of myself. I turned to alcohol and drugs to cope.

Now at 33 I don't feel I Have learned as much as I should. I still live every day in fear and I get by pretending to be someone else. I learned how to make people laugh without having to humiliate myself. Sometimes I can even charm people and they want to interact with me but once I go home I'm scared and sad again.

Im not a man by anyone's standards. I'm an undesirable to society. Nobody sees me as a real friend. Almost no women sees me as a serious potential mate. I don't blame them. I'm a loser and a nobody. The talents I possess were wasted on me.

Its too late for me to be a man.

i just thought it was funny curlynight mentioned you reminded her of giants fan.

If you really do work in the mental health care field like it appears you do from your posts in the suicide thread, then you above all should know you can't give a dx without meeting the person, in person. If this is what you do as a mental health provider, go by one's postings and aliai on a message board to make a determination, then wow. Plenty of people are misdiagnosed even by the best of providers because it's not that simple and many times it doesn't fall into just 1 thing but a mix. That's why it's hard to figure meds and then if it works...

First of all I would never use a generic name like "Giants fan" or any variation. I'm much more creative that that.

Second I've never been a member of FFT. And if I was bipolar why would I have trouble admitting it after everything else I've admitted on here? It's certainly likely I am bipolar but I've never been diagnosed as such or been given medication for it.
