HOU - Reggie BushNO - Matt LeinartTEN - D'BrickshawNYJ - Mathias Kiwanuka (trade Abraham for Rivers?)GB - Mario WilliamsSF - Will Nolan go DL (2 good DT this year)OAK - AJ HawkI see trades this year. What are you first thoughts so far?

New Orleans will trade down and take Hawk if they're smart. Leinart just isn't the best value imo. They could move down take Hawk and get another QB in the second round. Someone like Brad Smith of Missouri.

NO shouldn't take Leinart?! :shrug:Them picking at #2 overall and sending Aaron Brooks packing seems like about as much as a lock for selecting Matt Leinart as Reggie Bush going #1 overall....whether he stays with the Texans or is traded to another team (via the pick being moved or the Texans picking on someone else's behalf). What am I missing here?

I agree. Bush #1, Leinart #2. Not sure which team ends up with Bush, but he'll go #1.Only scenario that I can see to change that would be OAK moving all the way up to 1 to get Leinart - which I doubt.

I'm so pissed the Jets won, now tougher shot at Brickshaw.I do not see them taking Kiwi... we already have Bryan Thomas who is finally playing solid. I think the Jets still trade Abraham for a QB (hopefully Volek, Garrard or Shaub), but I doubt they go D-line in the draft. We already have much of our payroll tied up in the D-Line. Maybe Tennessee takes Young and Jets grab Brickshaw...

HOU - Reggie Bush

HOU selects BushNO steals Schuab from the Falcons and is able to slide down to #3.

TENN moves up to take Leinart and then moves Volek to the Jets

NO now takes Hawk at 3

NYJ (after getting Volek) then will draft Mario Williams

GB selects Kiwanuka

SF selects Brick

If Brickshaw is available for the Jets, I do not see how they pass on him for another DE. Jets' O-line needs some serious help.

SF and Oakland might switch spots since the Rams won and increased SF's SOS
They are tied. There will be a coin flip:1 Houston 2 14

2 New Orleans 3 13

3 Tennessee 4 12

4 N.Y. Jets 4 12

5 Green Bay 4 12

6* San Francisco 4 12

6* Oakland 4 12

8 Buffalo 5 11

9 Detroit 5 11

10 Arizona 5 11

Leinart will slide once the personal workouts start, watch. I guess it will also depend on if Haslett is still there and who the new coach is if Has gets fired. They shouldn't take Leinart because they should trade the pick for more picks. They need more than just Leinart and the best thing to do would be pick up a QB in a trade for that pick instead of taking Leinart, who I think will be a bust in the NFL with those knees. What's the difference between him and Jason White? Both won Heisman's their junior year, came back their senior year and didn't win it. He doesn't have an exceptional arm or anything. He certainly doesn't have any speed and he's had knee problems just like White. With New Orleans O-Line they need a QB that can scramble and face it Leinart's not it. I could see them taking Vince Young before they take Leinart. I don't see Atlanta giving Schaub to a divisional rival though.

How has everyone fallen asleep on Leinart? last year at this time he was the consensus #1 overall pick and a lock to be the next Franchise QB. They were practically ready to put him in the HOF before he ever took an NFL snap.Did an extra year in college make him worse? No Freaking way. Bush took the attention off Leinart and now everyone has forgotten just how good he is. This guy is a steal at anything other than first overall.

You'd seriously pass up Leinart for BRAD SMITH???

Brad Smith won't be a QB in the NFL, either.

Why are you guys stopping at 7? Bills fan here and was just wondering who you guys think the Bills might go with at pick 8? Any chance they take that DT from Oregon?

Was up in Foxboro watching the Fish (for my kid) and was equally upset wathcing the JETS scoreboard. However, it only ended dropping one slot from 3 to 4. I watched the entire Virginia bowl game focusing entirely on Ferguson. I was not overly impressed, granted 1 game does not make a pick. I saw adequate pass blocking, although there were times when he got help from his guard. There was a time when he was clearly beat for sack, from which his QB escaped. Good straight ahead run blocking, but no downfield mobility demonstrated and no pulling (I know most OT in college do not pull very much). "Franchise" OTs early in the draft have become a mixed bag just like QB (Gallery, Mike Williams). I'd rather take D'Angelo Williams or White, whichever grades out the highest (trade down a few slots if it allow NYJ to get one of these guys). For little its worth, Matt Cassell looked a lot better than Phillip Rivers in his NFL debut.

The words Brad Smith, QB in the NFL and 2nd round don't go together.3rd and the next "Randle El".

While I agree Leinart could slide due to arm strength his measurables are still far superior to Jason White. He is bigger, stronger and has won more big games. Leinart also does not have knee problems, I am not sure where you are getting that from. If anything it will be his shoulder surgery last year that will make teams tentative on drafting him. But the comparison, physically, to White is just flat out unfair.Leinart doesn't have a cannon but he has enough arm strength to make a run at the next level. I would think he is closer to Pennington than anyone else. If he can keep his shoulder healthy he could excel in the NFL.

The first 3 picks seem somewhat clear right now, Bush, Leinart and D'Brick (or another OT if they end grading out higher). The Jets pick is where it gets interesting... do they take one of the elite DEs since theyre probably letting Abraham walk? Is DeAngelo Williams worth that high of a pick (and Cedric Houston shown enough to make that less of a priority?). GB also has a tough call to make between elite defensive players - they need help at every level.

/prays Detroit gets Jimmy Williams/Eric Winston/Winston Justice/Chad Greenway at #9.But they will probably take Santonio Holmes of course! :boxing:

three things:1- Major trade within the division

2- titans used to be the Oilers

3- Most importantly, the Texans made the imfamous trade up for Babin with the ex-oilers, even with a quality package from them, the Texans can't make another significant trade with the Titans. It would be just as bad as another season like this one from a local PR nightmare standpoint.

Everything I read on Brick says he is overrated. Does he really have the size of an Ogden? Gallery hasn't lived up to the hype yet - top 5 OL should be a Pro Bowl stud for years.

No if Donahoe still runs the joint most likely a WR, RB or another QB.IF a person who isnt looking for the "sexy" pick is there... probably that DT from ORegon.

That's pretty funny. My damn Rams can't even lose right. They go from getting a top ten pick in the draft to having to win last night and dropping back into the teens. Bye Bye Jimmy Williams for us.
