So when does Y! update scoring (1 Viewer)

The promo live scoring was cut short last week and now I can't get the scores from the 1 and 4 oclock games.

Anyone else having trouble with Yahoo? It didn't seem like such a hassle last year....

They give you the live scoring week one and that's it - just like last year. You'll get an updated score tomorrow around 8 a.m. ET, maybe a little earlier.

you can get a stattracker for free:

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6486

you have to use Mozilla and you have to install some greasemonkey script thingy.

i used the baseball one and i thought it was great.... I'd be using it for football too, but i'm not in any Y! leagues this year.
I'm confused...how exactly do you install this thing?
pay the 10 bucks, it's worth it.
:goodposting: Total no-brainer.

huh? if you have greasemonkey, this script doesn't take more than 15 seconds and 2 clicks to install.

Fleaflicker.com and ESPN.com both have fantasy leagues with free live scoring. Just for future reference.

first... make sure you're using Mozilla/Firefox as your browser.

second... make sure you DL and install the greasemonkey thing: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

third... go to the original link i left and click "install script".

then make sure the monkey face is lit up at the bottom right corner of your browser window and go to your team page and you should have live updates. I don't have any Y! football leagues, so i can't test it... but it was great to have while i was playing Y! fantasy baseball.

It looks like it might not total your score and just gives you stats... which would be kinda lame... but still convenient when checking out how your opponent did.

See, I don't think it's worth it to pay the $10 for Yahoo. As SSOG pointed out there were other places to play for free with live scoring. Plus, if everyone in your league shells out the $10 it adds up to $100 or more for most leagues, so why not just pay for better league hosting at that point?

If anyone knows of other places to get free live scoring that would be dandy. The script thing posted doesn't sound like it's working that well if you read the comments plus there was a big warning about someone updating with malicious scripts.

you can check the posters other scripts and get an idea of how trustworthy they are.for this particular script there have been:

1,563 installs

if there is a major bug of some sort i would expect more complaints (most comments were actually request for other scripts)

dude also has 28 other scripts... all looking on the up and up.

though i understand your concern, i don't share it... at all.

so... does it give you the score? or just stats?
Followed the steps and have the monkey face. How do i see the stats/scoring?

a window should overlap what you normally see when you go to the "my team" page.... as long as the monkey-face is in color.

What color? Mine is red. And the yahoo spots line is checked if your right click on the monkey face.*edit to say, i figured it out, and thanks to whoever posted the link. Was thinking about buying it after not having the live stats this weekend, but this will do.

I was bummed I still didn't have the live scoring, but we get fractional points in my league and it still only took me less than 10 minutes to figure out my&my opponents player totals.

Yeah, I guess I could pay 10$ for it, but Im usually looking at other game updates or in here if im doing if anyway and I find it somewhat more interest to calculate it myself since it only takes that long.

I mean, I thought I was down big, and I was going into the 4 pm games today after he had AJohnson, Gore, and Bulger, but after I calculated everything, I ended up having a 25 pt lead with each of us only having Gostkowski and Kaeding left...

it was much more fulfilling and climactic (climatic?)

Everybody in your league doesn't have to get it. (and won't) I don't remember the agreement that I ok'd when I signed up, but I'm pretty sure that stealing content was a no no. How great would it be to have yahoo delete your league mid-season because you wanted to save 10 bucks. Even if they didn't police it and this script spreads, if they can't make money, they'll shut down the sight. When a big company like Yahoo gives up on it. The smaller companies will be less enthused to jump in. You'll be responsible for destroying the entire fantasy football universe! Joe and DD will have to move back in with their parents! Joe's mom has 26 cats and he hates cats! I hope your satisfied! But hey $10 bucks is $10 bucks and you've been dying to give it back to the man ever since you got that wedgie in your 6th grade health class. :ptts:

10 mins * 16 games = 160 mins/60 = 2.67 hours10 bucks/2.67 = congratulations your worth less minimum wage and still don't know how the rest of the league is doing! You'd be better of spending 10 mins a week trying to figure out how to make 10 bucks. Mow a couple of lawns at an hour a piece and your ahead of the game. Why not support FF and guys like Joe and Dodds instead of making them have to create a worse experience because they don't have the cash flow. Or you can grin and bear it and wait till Tuesday to see how you did.I'm not picking on Yinzer, because he seems to like adding it all up and that's fine, but it's amazing how many people don't analyze the value of an offer before they decide weather or not to make a purchase. My parents will drive 20 minutes across town to save 50 cents on a gallon of milk. By the time you figure in the gas they wasted and their time they are already losing money, but when you add the 12 other impulse buys that they get while they are there, and they are really suckers. Most of you get the new Madden game every year. Right now it's at 60 bucks a pop. Essentially it's the same game every year with the biggest change being the stats for the players are different. AND THOSE STATS ARE MADE UP AND NOT VERY ACCURATE! Why is paying 60 bucks for fake Madden stats better than paying 10 bucks for stats that can actually help you win money? I just don't get it.

Just build a spreadsheet in excel and then watch the Yahoo! game channel and enter stats as they occur. I do this with my laptop on Sundays and actually kind of enjoy watching all of the activity on line while the game is on.
