Please don't try to diminish what this ####### did. Plenty of drunk drivers didn't mean to kill people, but ya know what? It didn't just happen. This guy made it happen and he can rot in a cell for life for all I care.I bet he wasn't intending to do major harm and just happen to hit the wrong area at the right time. Poor ref and family. Hope they upgrade the charge now that the poor guy is dead.
More Ethnicity than Religion. The attacker was from Dearborn, which happens to have a really large Middle Eastern population.Anti Deaborn meaning what? Anti Muslim? Something along those line? I'm not real familiar with the Dearborn area.
Doesnt matter, it was completely uncalled for and should rightfully be upgraded to at least manslaughter. Its a local soccer game not a bar fight that got out of hand.I bet he wasn't intending to do major harm and just happen to hit the wrong area at the right time. Poor ref and family. Hope they upgrade the charge now that the poor guy is dead.
If he had just socked him a good one and was able to get up and continue, it would be low class ####### act. You see it in sports, especially in hockey. I'm not sticking up for him, but just saying that socking someone doesn't usually lead to death and this guy is in hell right now and I'm sure in shock. Drunk drivers know they can kill someone and many do. I just don't see stories on how a punch killed someone. This case is very unfortunate and surely this guy didn't think it could kill whereas drunk drivers do know and yet still decide to chance it. That's all. He'll get his in jail but I don't think this is going to make folks stop and think before slugging someone like the drinking and driving does for many. Please don't try to diminish what this ####### did. The sport is not violent. Can't wait for all the pro-soccer thugs to come in here and say it's not a violent sport.
Probably has to do with his radical Islam Al Quaeda ties, I'm guessing. Can't wait for all the pro-soccer thugs to come in here and say it's not a violent sport.
You rockin' it, kid!Soccer is a complete wuss sport but fans regularly riot and seriously assault and even kill eachother.
Football is considered violent yet how often do you hear about violence and anarchy in the stadiums?
With the exception of philly of course
Cleveland, but it's always beer related in one way or another.Soccer is a complete wuss sport but fans regularly riot and seriously assault and even kill eachother.

Probably. The Browns suck, so the fans get tanked. Soccer sucks, so the fans get tanked. Cleveland has done a lot worse than argue over who their QB is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=i5e3Bw_yLSY#t=347Ok but ive seen soccer fans bring bombs to the stadium.
Thats a little different than drunken browns fans argueing over which fourth string QB should be starting for them.
These charges were originally filed before the guy died... Hopefully they are upgraded to some sort of offense that carries more than 10 years.
Sad story.
Thanks for bringing this one back. The man who died was a 44 year old father of two boys, aged 13 and 9. A friend of more than 30 years setup a memorial page with links to a gofundme page. The memorial fund will help cover funeral expenses and provide for the boys education. If you are so inclined:

By newspaper accounts, John Bieniewicz had a lifelong passion for soccer as a player, coach and official. Very sad tragedy.
This is why all the stadiums stopped serving glass right?Cleveland has done a lot worse than argue over who their QB is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=i5e3Bw_yLSY#t=347Ok but ive seen soccer fans bring bombs to the stadium.
