I thought these nine were sweet

Vikings under 7 -140

Buccaneers under 7 +120

Chiefs under 7.5 -135

Dolphins under 7.5 -130

Giants under 8 -150

Panthers under 9 -110

Jaguars under 9 +130

Bills over 6 -105

Steelers over 8.5 -130

I can't see Miami, Minnesota, KC or TB winning 8 games. The Giants winning 9 or Carolina & Jacksonville winning 10. I realize that Jax is probably the weakest of these wagers but with the QB turmoil and the positive vig I'll take it.

Pittsburgh & Buffalo are improved. The Bills would need to go 5-11 or worse for this to lose. The Steelers could end up 8-8 but I like them and I'll take it, plus I'm counting on some easy money from the unders.

I think the Jaguars will be one of the best teams in the league this year. I'd probably take them at over 9.5; betting on them at under 9 seems silly. Just my :hophead:

I hope you are right Chase, right now I suspect most locals would take the under on that bet. Talent is there, but talent was there last season too. How do you finish second second in total D and 10th in offense and go 8-8?

9-7 is a push, they'd have to go 10-6 or better for it to lose. A push doesn't bother me in the least. Also, you're getting +130 on it, but maybe I'm underestimating the Jags (or some of these other teams) that's basically why I posted this, to get opinions from the pool. I guess it's basically a "Who do I bet on or against" post in disguise

Looking at this closer I think these are the premium picks

Vikings under 7 -140 Minnesota at 8-8?

Buccaneers under 7 +120 Tampa Bay at 8-8?

Chiefs under 7.5 -135 Herm & the Chiefs at .500 or better, not.

Dolphins under 7.5 -130 Miami at .500 or better, can't see it.)

Giants under 8 -150 The Giants at 9-7 or better with Dallas & Phily in the division and Tiki gone, I don't buy it.

Panthers under 9 -110 I don't see the Panthers winning 10 games this year.

Vikings under 7 -140 (1-0)

Buccaneers under 7 +120 (0-1)

Chiefs under 7.5 -135 (0-1)

Dolphins under 7.5 -130 (0-1)

Giants under 8 -150 (0-1)

Panthers under 9 -110 (1-0)

Jaguars under 9 +130 (0-1)

Bills over 6 -105 (0-1)

Steelers over 8.5 -130 (1-0)

I'd rethink that. Clueless coaching staff.
That was definitely a surprising week one. Clueless coaching staff or not, I don't know how the Jags run D got shredded like that.
The ability to run sweeps, pitch outs and screen passes was severly reduced by starting 2 180lb WR's is Broussard and Northcutt. Add to that no threat of a passing attack and Tenn. stacking the box. They didn't dress their best blocking WR. Del Rio is really feeling the Mike Tice effect.

In their favor, the Jags have a pretty manageable schedule, with games at Denver, Indy, NO and Pitt plus home games against Indy and SD looking like the most difficult ones, and they've been strong at home vs. Indy in the past. But given the result this Sunday, it appears few games can be counted as likely wins either.I don't see anything above 9-7 from this team, as they're as likely to lose when expected to win as vice versa. I like the under.

Well I'm talking about the Jags run D. It was maybe the best in the league last year.
